My prior ladder holders were made of plastic and were beginning to crack and break. These are made of metal and were the same size. The only drawback was that they didn’t fit in the exact deck holes to anchor them. Two holes were okay but we had to drill a third hole which wasn’t too difficult to do. They are in place and working fine.

One of these broke first time use. They are made of plastic and the part that hooks to my deck broke with first use

Great item at a great price. Bought plastic ones in the past and would have to replace them each year. (Kids are hard on pool ladders!) These held up and was able to use the same holes as the ones before.

These worked really well. We attached these to our deck for our pool slide. They are of good construction.

I installed the mounts properly and within weeks they cracked and then broke into pieces. They are very low quality.

Too weak for a pool or deck ladder. Just cracked on first use. In the end I went to an engineer and got some strong ones made.

Prior to buying these, I made a pair of Pool Ladder holders out of steel and pipe. Then I found these and thought that aluminum was better then worrying about long term rust issues with mine. The picture shown on AMAZON makes these look nice and thick. They are not. In fact the ones I received are different then the ones pictured. I can tell by the Boss on the 'Nut' side of the Flanges. IF the legs on your pool ladder rest on the bottom of the pool and these Flanges are just to hold the ladder steady then they might work. But as I am using these to support the weight of a person as well as the ladder as if dangles off my Boat Dock, I am sure they wont last two trips up the ladder. I mounted them to the Dock, placed the ladder in them and put a little weight on the top step. The flexing at the Flanges tell me I was about to end up, clothes and all, in the drink. Look at the Pic. The manufacturer was 'kind' enough to leave a large chunk of Slag or Flashing on the inside diameter of the Flange. I had to break off the Slag. You can also see too much paint build up around the perimeter that cracked as soon as I lowered the ladder into it.Ahhh China. We need to bring manufacturing back home. I will take out the 6 1/4" x 4" long Lag bolts and put my steel home made jobbies on the dock. 8 3/8" holes total. I feel the 1/4" base plate, thicker, longer piping will serve me better.

Almost perfect. My only downside is that if you're using these and that your pool has a salt filtered system, you'll greatly decrease it's life span. But hey, there were no other alternatives for me :)
