I bought these to help with restless leg syndrome in my sleep. You'll see in the pictures that I compare these to a pair I've had for several years, and this is what they look like once worn and taken off after several hours/uses.I do not have a way to measure my calf size, and I knew I intended to wear these for 8+ hours at a time leading up to and into my sleep. Therefore, I decided to buy a size up. I'm 5'7" and ~150/155LBS and bought the L/XL. I took a photo of my leg/sock next to a dollar bill for comparison and approximate sizing.The fabric is extremely breathable and comfortable (unlike many compression socks, these do not have the plastic-like feel). The socks feel very well made and give the impression of high quality that will last several years. In terms of their size, they allow quite a bit of stretch, especially vertically. I prefer to wear them from the arch of my foot to my knees, so in this sense I do wish they were a bit longer such as other pairs I have owned, as I can feel I stretch them to their max. The socks do stay in place as I move around in the night and walk around in the day. They cut slightly into my legs. I have worn them to sleep 4 nights so far, and each night I usually wake up and have to remove them because they get too tight after 4-6 hours. I hope with wear, this will lessen over time. I would have preferred a larger size, simply because how I wear them makes them feel a bit too snug.They aren't the solution I was personally looking for, but I imagine they are great for sport and ideal for shorter uses. Again, they are very comfortable due to the fabric choices and how they were made. And they are great for the price. Overall I'm rating 4 stars because breathable, stretch, comfort, price, durability. I likely wouldn't purchase again because I want something with more give and something longer.

The sleeves are probably (among) best for the runners who experience shin splints. I tried other sleeves with no luck. In these sleeves, I could not run long enough; after the first mile or so, I should stop and take them off. It's good I was recommended to wear the sleeves after running, and I should tell you they help. I use them after showering for 4 to 5 hours. The problem did not go away totally. However, because of my shin splints I could run only once per week or less during the summer; now, after buying the sleeves, I run again (at least 2 and usually) 3 times per week.

Works great, haven't tried any other calf sleeves, but can't understand how any other can work better.
