I needed a new grill and one of the people at work suggested a griddle instead. I did a lot of research and opted for the Blackstone. This model is the largest they make and can easily accommodate cooking for a large group or by scaling back the number of burners can be used for smaller groups. I chose this particular one due to the side shelves and a bonus slide out shelf on the left side. It can unassembled but assembly was easy until I had to put on the steel griddle, needed help with that so I could line up the pins. Seasoning the griddle is necessary to develop a non-stick cooking surface but was accomplished in about n hour. We were cooking the same afternoon. The flavor is improving each time we cook. We've done everything from breakfast to burgers and there are many recipes on-line for griddle cooking. I can't wait to try them all!

Fantastic product that complements a traditional grill. Recommend getting the cover as well as spatula tool set for overall usage.

I was really excited about this item and had no problems putting it together. When I was in the process of seasoning the griddle this bottom plate that came preassembled by the manufacturer fell off and it appears the screws literally melted. I have had no luck getting help from Amazon and keep being directed to the “how can we help” page with no way of talking to an actual person. Very disappointing as this was a major purchase for my family.
