I bought this last year and boy I am so glad I did! This is a great mower! It is corded so you do have to 'dance with the cord' at times but it is worth it. It has a grass catcher, but it is a mulcher, so we use it as a mulcher and love it. It is quiet, easy to push, pretty lightweight, no gas to forget to go get or spill, easy to start, pretty easy to maneuver and easy to clean. Definitely recommend.

I purchased this lawnmower to cut a 4000 sq ft city lot which is partially on a grade and contains several landscaping features. The plastic deck appears to be sturdy enough and the lighter weight makes the mower easy to maneuver around objects and on slopes. The wheels are inset so that the mower can cut very close to objects in the yard. However, you will still need a trimmer to complete the job. The mower is capable of handling tall grass as long as you don't try to push it too fast. I use it as a mulching mower, and it does a good job of mincing the grass although there is a small amount of grass leakage around the mulch plug on the rear flap. The only operating issue is that the run bar is stiff and if you don't keep a tight grip the mower will shut off. Assembly is easy; I had this mower out of the box and ready to run in five minutes. One observation is that I am almost 6 ft tall, and I had to attach the upper handle at the lowest position to put it at a comfortable level. A shorter person might find the run bar to be positioned too high. It is very easy to change the mowing height with the adjustment lever.

UPDATE: Mower still working great. But I did find a little issue. The Orange knobs on the handle break off their nuts very easily and with only one point of connection between the handle parts it allows the handles to flex too much. I solved both of these issues buy replacing with two bolts on both sides to stiffen it up. Since I never fold the handle anyways this isn't a problem.I bought this to replace a 7 year old GreenWorks mower that shorted out. Right out of the box it was easy and simple to attach the push bar and get it set up where it was comfortable. I started out setting the mow level mid way but it was too low for me so I readjusted it to #4 and it is at my desired height now. I had some tall grass to cut and I could hear it bogging down so I just slowed my pace and it solved the problem. The real test will be this Winter and Spring when I need to cut tall wet/damp grass...But overall it cuts well and fast, at least as fast as I normally walk. The only negative I can say about this mower is the spring tension on the blade engage bar, there is a lot of tension to it and after awhile you can feel it in your hands...but over all a nice quiet mower that easily mowed by 3/4 acre lawn.

I have many Black and Decker tools and this is my second electric mower from B and D. It is operating well and doing the job I expected. I am happy.

I purchased this mower in September of 2021. I really liked the mower for it’s light weight and maneuverability. It cut well and was easy to use. In the first year the deflector door on the back cracked where the spring held it down. Not a big deal. The last time I tried to mow, the motor slowed and it started smoking. Removing the cover showed that the shaft was no longer aligned, and the blade would not spin easily. In reading other reviews, this is a common problem, yet B&D continues to market what is essentially a disposable product. I have a small lawn that takes about 30 minutes to cut. There are less than 100 hours on this mower. In contacting customer service, I found that they will not do anything about a product of theirs that was substandard. I’m disappointed because my previous B&D mower lasted 15 years with routine maintenance. Obviously, their quality control has diminished. I recommend shopping a different brand.

I'l start out by saying I'm lazy and don't mow the lawn more than once every 2-3 months honestly. In FL, during the rainy season, this is obviously not a good idea. The lawn is an absolute jungle.I have a proper 10gauge/3conductor 100ft extension cord that weighs more than the mower, so I thankfully don't run into any power loss from the cable heating up or being undersized. I've seen comments this is basically necessary, so if you have issues with yours, be sure to spend the extra on a "big boy" cord.On the shorter settings (1-3) it definitely gets bogged down on thick or wet grass. It's doable on setting 4. 5 and 6 are no problem. The shortest couple of settings scalp the lawn (which can be useful for certain things like overseeding, but you won't catch me putting in that kind of effort). If it gets bogged down, it's such a light mower that even my short 110lb self is able to easily rock it back as far as I need to to free it up before it seizes. That's all I ever really have to do to make sure it keeps running. I make some effort to not overwork it as I don't want the motor to get too hot; but no extravagant effort.I did have to add a sort-of cable clip to keep the extension cord wrapped around the bar and plugged in. The cable clips that come with it probably don't fit anything larger than a standard extension cord. I used them all to neatly tuck away the short cord that's on the unit itself.Fighting the cable here and there depending on the shape of your yard is inevitable, and you have to make sure you don't run it over obviously, but overall it's not too bad to deal with. Worth it IMO to skip on filling or starting a regular gas mower. The option to start and stop the mower right away without effort is nice. It's significantly quieter than a gas mower, although it's far from silent. I'd argue it's a fair bit louder than a vacuum cleaner. You'll still want to wear earplugs or some earbuds with music going, but it's not terrible. The bag mode is a pain; don't bother. Mulching mode works ok although I wish it chopped it up a bit finer and didn't build up in the closed bagging port as much as it does. It's not as strong as a gas mower, but that really hasn't been an issue for me; any regularly mowed lawn will be a breeze.Overall, bless electricity.Edit: Like another review mentioned, the handle that you must press to turn/keep the unit on broke. Took it apart, bolted some metal to it, glued the plastic pieces together, and it's limping along. That part is certainly not the best design.
