Love this panini maker! so fast and easier than using a frying pan. The waffles iron works great as well. Have not tried the 3rd side. Well made overall and easy to clean.

Ours arrived yesterday and I just finished making and eating our first batch of waffles.They certainly need to improve the instructions. One key thing they fail to mention is that after washing the plates before use, you should heat them for about 10 minutes to burn off residual oils - when you do, you'll get an unpleasant smell from the burning surfacing treatment that would otherwise go into your first waffles/sandwiches. Second, the instructions for use and the recipe instructions don't match. For example, the general instructions say not to use cooking sprays but some of the recipes say to spray the plates! I'd compromise and use a propellent-free spray (the propellants can leave a residue).The plates only get to about 350F. Hot enough to cook waffles but not enough to crisp them - you can finish them quickly in an air fryer or broiler (or even a toaster) if that matters to you. The green LED just means "at temperature" it does not mean "done." For our waffles, I got the best results at 7 minutes from closing the lid, which was around 2-3 minutes after the green light.Still, with all the above, the family enjoyed the waffles and the cleanup was easy - and my wife loves the idea of being able to make paninis too!

I had been hankering for homemade waffles, but hadn't owned a waffle iron for several years. I didn't need a big one for a whole family, because I am just cooking for myself. This Black and Decker looked just right, and sure enough, it filled the bill. It was especially important to me to get nonstick, removable, dishwasher safe plates for easy clean up, and this has that. But imagine my pleasant surprise when it came not only with to two pairs of plates for waffles and grilling mentioned in the listing description, but also what I think of as a "bonus": a third set of plates for making sealed triangular sandwiches with standard-sized bread, like the sandwich makers that used to be big in the infomercials decades ago. So far I've used both the waffle and the sandwich plates. Both worked great, and I'm sure the griddle will, too. Easy to put in and take out, and they cleaned up very well in the dishwasher. I store all six plates (three pairs) on the same shelf with the waffle iron to make sure I can find them quickly whenever I get in the mood. Highly recommend! NOTE: The waffle plates are not the circular Belgian style like a lot of hotel self-serve breakfasts are now. They make four smallish rectangular waffles, like the waffle irons I grew up with. This is perfectly fine for me, but if you have your heart set on round Belgian waffles, this one is not for you.

June 24, 2024. This small appliance continues to prove itself a great workhorse. I make 2 batches of 12 waffles a week (freeze them to warm in the toaster later for grab and go breakfast) with fruit, nuts and/or chocolate chips added in. Waffles cook in 5-6 minutes. Also using the grill plates for panini-type sandwiches, sliders, and grilling eggplant and tomatoes. It was great to have during a 3-day 95+ degree heat wave - dinner on the table in no time without heating up the kitchen.Original review - I have to really love or hate a product to write a review. I really love this one. Compact so it's easy to store in my small kitchen. Removable plates so it's easy to clean. Three different sets of plates - waffle, sandwich and grill - so it's multi-purpose. It gets a real workout in our house. And it's Black & Decker, a company who's products I've always had great luck with.My only complaint is its size. You can only cook 2 waffles or small sandwiches at a time. I would love this product even more if it cooked 4 waffles at a time.You will note that the use instructions say do not use cooking spray, yet a couple of recipes call for it. Ignore the recipe instructions and do not use cooking spray. It will make a horrible mess to clean up; I don't know what it might do to the appliance. Instead pour a little cooking oil in a bowl, dip a paper towel in the oil and lightly (and I mean lightly) wipe the cooking surfaces every couple of batches. Nothing will stick, and clean-up is easy.If you're looking for a waffle maker, I definitely recommend this one.

Love this little griller! Makes one good sized sandwich at a time. Easy to use. Just turn on. So easy to clean. Wipe with a damp sponge after it cools down. Turns a sandwich into a warm panini or grilled cheese sandwich. Melts the cheese easily. Interchangeable insert for panini, grilled cheese, or 'pocket'. I wish I bought this years ago!

I love the way the attachments come out to be able to clean. I would have liked it to beep when finished. Make sure to spay with cooking oil or it will stick. Overall a good product.

La vi en tiendas departamentales y estaba agotada. La busqué aquí y estaba muchísimo más barata. La verdad excelente producto. Las placas intercambiables son lo mejor! Fácil de usar, de limpiar, tuesta muy bien... Excelente!!

Cumple en todas sus funciones! Gran relación calidad precio. La versatilidad de las placas intercambiables lo vuelve un indispensable para cocinas pequeñas pero que buscan funcionalidad. Con mínimo de mantequilla o aceite la comida no se pega. Fácil de limpiar si la limpias con una toalla de papel después de usar. La parrilla es una maravilla para cocinar carne y pescado porque evita que el olor escape y dando una cocción uniforme. El aparato ocupa poco espacio. Los waffles quedan bien siempre y cuando la mezcla tenga una consistencia no muy líquida. Recibí abierta la caja porque era de importación pero no me importó pues su precio en Amazon fue imbatible! Más barata 30% que en otros lugares. Amo este electrodoméstico y lo uso todos los días! Dándole un buen cuidado te durará mucho!

This multi use iron is fantastic! This was a major upgrade from my old waffle iron that did NOT have removable pieces. I'm so happy that I can remove the grills to easily wash them but I'm also so pleased with the fact that there are 3 different grill options. This is a great kitchen item!
