I bought this to illuminate a shelf of Vaseline glass... the light doesn't stay charged longer than an hour and gets REALLY hot. I'll keep the light because it'll be good to take with me when looking for new Vaseline glass pieces, but it doesn't work well for its originally intended purpose.If you're buying this to light up a shelf or other items, just don't.

I love this UV light bar, I use it to show how some of my products glow in UV light. It has a wide throw of light which just makes more sense as I can wave the wand over stuff and you can see a large section glow rather than pointing a flashlight and getting only a small area to glow. It's rechargeable which is a big win for me, I can plug it in at the end of the day and have it fully charged for the next day, no fussing around paying for batteries. It does have a flash light option, I generally don't use it but it's nice to have. The light is really bright so I'm always careful to turn it on facing away from myself and people, the light does get warm if on for a longer period of time.

We have a relative that lives in a rural Texas area. Recently we brought out a black light an did a little searching. In a rock barrier around a burn pit we found a dozen scorpions. most were really small - less than an inch long. There was one in the house recently, too. The fact that scorpions glow under a black light is really cool. This will eventually be a gift for them to do their own searching.
