For my purpose, the 36Watt (equivalent) is slightly weak, it is a solid product though. The output is probably equivalent to 25 Watt.

Impressive Illumination: These black light bars are incredibly bright and effectively illuminated the entire room, creating a mesmerizing glow effect that added to the party atmosphere. Even in a large room, the coverage was fantastic, and the glow was vibrant and eye-catching.Easy to Use: Setting up the black light bars was a breeze, thanks to the plug-and-play design. I simply plugged them in and switched them on, and they worked like a charm. The switch and 5ft cord provided added convenience, allowing me to position them exactly where I needed them without any hassle.High-Quality Performance: While the black light bars worked wonderfully for the party, I did notice that they tend to get hot when plugged in for an extended period. While this wasn't a major issue, it's something to keep in mind and monitor, especially if using them for long periods.Overall, I'm thrilled with this Black Light Bar. It provided the perfect lighting solution for my son's glow party sleepover, delivering impressive brightness and coverage. Despite getting a bit warm, they worked wonderfully and added an extra element of fun to the festivities. Highly recommend!

box had been opened, cord had been strecthed out, mounting brackets and screws missing: obviously a used item was sent, the light does work as intended. I used double sided tape to mount it. I would have returned it but wanted to get my display lite.up date added a star 12-31-24, the light is still working after five weeks outdoors, through rain, freezing weather for a few days and lots of wind and wet while illuminating my neon painted letters

I bought the UV unit to condition my new prescription photochromatic eyeglasses. The optician said they need cool temperature UV treatment (i.e., a black light) off and on for about two weeks. So I bought this blacklight UV unit. It has a wall mount, but I use that to support the UV system in the cardboard Amazon shipping box it came in. I place my photochromatic eyeglasses below the UV unit sitting on top of the cardboard box lid, but the UV unit is upside down so the light shines downward, directly on the eyeglasses to a maximum black light uv effect. The Amazon cardboard shipping box shields the UV intensity going on inside the cardboard Amazon box from blasting everybody with UV rays. The long plugin cord attached to the blacklight UV emitting unit has a rocker on/off switch that turns the unit on and off without pulling in or bumping the UV system, Amazon box it is sitting on, or the eyeglasses being treated with blacklight UV rays below. The unit has a warning label that it can get 135°F hot, so watch out for skin contact burns. My UV unit stayed on for a few hours. I did not measure the temperature, but the average human being's maximum temperature to touch is around 125°F. The unit was warm but easily handled. I'm going to use it off and on several hours a day for the next two weeks conditioning these glasses. I'm sure glad I got it.

Being a child of the 1960's, black light means darkness with things glowing. There should be very little visible light to make this effect truly powerful. This product advertises a spectrum of 380-400 nano-meters, but I suspect it is more like 380 to 480 or so, as there is lots of visible light. Not that you would want to read by it, but you can. I was looking for a replacement of a black light fluorescent tube, which put out very little visible light, with a spectrum of about 380 to 420. I have one which is a true black light, as there is practically no visible light. It probably cuts off at about 405, maybe 410 nano-meters. I am looking for filter material which will block the visible light (430 to over 700 nano-meters, so that I can get the real glow-in-the-DARK black light experience. Once I do, than this should be an excellent light source, as it is very powerful, with things visibly fluorescing in a well-lit room. It comes with a mounting kit which holds the unit away from the mounting surface, so air flow for cooling is assured. I estimate that this fixture could easily light up an area four or five meters on a side with ultraviolet light. This fixture is likely to be highly attractive for insects, as they see this kind of light very clearly at night, so if you are interested in making a bug zapper, this is a good light source. Probably most people will find the fixture fun, because it will make things glow a bit when there are regular lights on, and the fixture puts out enough visible light that moving about is safe with only the fixture making light. The kind of black light I am looking for is dangerous for big party scenes, because people can not see where they are going. Black light. Radiation that we cannot detect, that cause effects than we can detect. Material which glows, or 'fluoresces', when struck by ultraviolet light, like cat urine. Black light posters are awesome! 'Glow-in-the-dark' often means that it has to be pretty dark to see the glow, unless you have a fixture like this.

Works okay but not well. Got this for my son with a wall tapestry. The tapestry isn’t that big and the black light sitting right under it on the shelf doesn’t hit the whole tapestry. The only way to have it hit the whole thing is to hold it up in the air in the centre a couple feet away. So having it on opposite wall on a shelf doesn’t work because its too far away (even in a smaller room).
