I have now purchased 6 of these black hunter bows. Both in left and right, recurve and long bow style. I am 70 years old and have put meat in the freezer with them. I gave 2 to buddies and sold a couple to guys that just had to have one.. Sometimes the draw way may vary from the amo wieght on the bow. This really doesn't bother me since I only take shot less than 20 yards. I prefer the longbow style because they are quieter....

My first traditional bow, it was easy to set up after watching a couple of videos. After the first 2 arrows I was right on target. Lots of reviews on YouTube all good.the price was good I'm glad that I bought it. The only thing I would say is that the string is not the best but good for the price. I got a new Flemish twist string from shatterproof archery and the it was an improvement the bow shoots great.

My wife and I purchased one for friends who come to our ranch and want to try archery. We found the limbs were not warped, attached to the riser very well, it has a good “in hand” feel, and was true to the poundage advertised. Definitely would buy again. No damage to items, shipped very quickly.

I used recurve bows for 40 years. Hunting and target shooting. This recurve I bought in 35 pound pull since my advanced age. I like everything about this bow. Shot great and is sharp looking.

Overall Fairley well made on the important parts: limbs look straight; they secure to the riser straight and solid; string looks like it's well made. No obvious imperfections that would cause it to function poorley. However it draws a bit over 40 lbs @28.The not so important things. Part of the staining on the riser is a bit washed out/faded. Like it was stained before final sanding then sanded a bit too much. A bit more important the string knocks are not sharp but could have been sanded in much better. Will see if it weares on the string. I'm hesitant to work on them due to warrantee.I'm shooting Easton tribute aluminum 1816 arrows with a 125gn point. Three 4" feathers. 31-1/4 inch long shaft. 453.2 gn total weight. These shoot very well with a brace height of 7-5/8" and the center of the arrow knock at 7/8" above the shelf.I settled at that brace height because it seemed to vibrate the least there. Cat whiskers installed afterwards really quieted it down.I measured the draw weight four times at 28" and got pounds: 43.68; 43.58; 43.44.At my drawl length of 26.5" I got four measurements at pounds: 39.94; 40.20; 40.5; 39.94.Granted my scale is a hand held battery operated device that hasn't been certified by the department of weights and measures and a two pound difference in listed and measured drawl weight isn't bad so I'm not considering this a problem.

Bought this for my 20year old son for Christmas. As soon as I put it together...well let's just say mine should be arriving wednesday! I used to shoot my grandpa's old Bear Grizzly( from the 60's) for years, until I broke it(doing the leg-bend method to string it). This bow is beautiful, the photos don't do it justice. I haven't fired it yet, just stung it and pulled it back to feel that old feeling. Well-packaged, went together perfectly, IMHO it's a functional work of art. these guys love building bows. I read tons of reviews and settled on this instead of a Sammick or Sage, and I'm so happy. For the price, I'm blown away. No holes for attachments, but I'm a purist. I did buy a simple stick-on arrow rest(Bass Pro had a decent inexpensive one much like the one I used to use) instead of shooting off the shelf, and bought a Keshes stringer, which works perfectly with this bow. The string seems well-made, we'll see how it holds up. Tiger arrows just arrived tonight. Looking forward to shooting again with my son.P.S. The stringer and arrows also from Amazon, I'm so pleased. Thanks guys!

So I picked up two of these, one in Blue stain for my wife and one for me in Black. The Blue one I had to get from a different supplier but the black one, the one I am talking about here, is from GLURAK. I got mine first, it came in a few days before the blue one. When I got it, the first impression was it looked nice, just a beautifully crafter bow, the riser, the limbs, lol the string was garbage but I expected that. Upon closer inspection, the limb fit to the riser is off by about 1/8 of an inch on the top limb. By comparison, the blue one from the other supplier is SPOT on, the fit and finish is perfect, I included a sample of limb fit on the blue bow just for comparison. I am going to try and contact the supplier to see if they want to fix this or not. If not I will go through Amazon to see if I can get it refunded, then I will order from the other guys. I'll come back and update.

I searched for an entry level bow for quite some time. I watched a lot of videos and read reviews and finally settled on this one. It was a great balance of price point, design and style for me. I wanted a takedown recurve that looked great and shot great. So I finally got this one and I am very happy with it. Some people may have pieces come in damaged or warped but that's no different than a defective product at Walmart, things happen. I didn't have any of those issues. I twisted my string 30 twists and strung the bow, let it sit over night and shot it the following day. After about an hour of shooting I had to twist the string another 10 twists to maintain the riser height and re-snug the limb bolts but that's to be expected with it being new and getting broken in. I am using no sights, shooting by feel. This bow has made that quite easy as it shoots consistent for me. I use it for target and for hunting, I got the 45lb draw. Lightweight, looks great, shoots great. Everyone that sees it thinks it was more expensive than it was. Thanks guys.
