I found the adhesive would fail over time. It would either fail to stick or remain behind after tape was removed.

Sturdy, thick, matte black tape but it has very weak adhesive and didn't stay stuck! Useless for the heavy applications I wanted it for.

All households should have this type of tape. Multi-use uses…it is very strong and very good value for the money.

I adhered this to some cords to keep them stationary and have had to restick numerous times since I’ve applied it. There is zero stick to the adhesion and it quite literally falls off. Bad product.

The only complaint I've heard about this tape is that it doesn't hold stuff to walls and overheads for weeks. It is GAFFER's tape folks! It's not supposed to. It is made to hold cables, pop, etc., for a show and then pull it off easily with no residue, and throw it away. This tape does a great job of that for a very reasonable price. If you need to tape something for a long running show, you might want to go with a higher quality tape, but for a couple of nights holding cables from being tripped over, curtains held back, etc, this stuff works quite well, and I like the tan on wooden floors.

We use this across our church stage. Once placed, it remains until we remove it. There is some residue leftover on the cords and carpet afterwards but, honestly, it's worth it to keep those cords in place.

I gave it 4 stars because it's certainly gaffer tape, but it's also more of the thinness of a masking tape.If you're looking for a gaffer tape that's super strong and flexible and useful for things past holding down wires... this isn't it.Holding down wires and such temporarily? Great.
