I had once chance while my scaffolding was up to get up to the roof to deploy the tube, I waited and waited until all the building work had been done, the scaffolding was coming down the next day. I put the tube in my brand new gun snipped off the top as per instructions, tried to squeeze a bit out to get it primed and nothin was coming out, what I didn’t realise is that it was coming out just not from the right end it was coming out from the plunger end. It has ruined my gun and any chance I did have of deploying this rubbish has now gone out the window. I should be asking for compensation, this family of birds has been antagonising me for years I managed to get one of them now his mates keep coming back, from 4 in the morning they sit outside my window and tweet their nasty little screech and I was so looking forward to having some peace this was my last hope and it had been destroyed because of a faulty tube which I imagine was blocked further down the mob so when I squirted it it all came out the wrong end. I am not happy and wish I could get more that a refund like a working tube for free so I could enter it in one of the sellers orifices for getting my hopes up and then smashing them with no care about my health and well being. Do not buy!

Perfect to deter birds from a pergola, just trialling it to see if it stops the possums eating our grape vine that is growing over the pergola.

This product is brilliant as we have had lots of trouble with Pidgeon's on our roof nesting under the solar panel's. I contacted lots of companies regarding getting rid of them to no avail. Some wanted between £400 - £1600 to remove them and prevent them returning. We were sick of the constant scratching and cowing they were making. AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!So when I see this product with the acclaimed right up recommendations I decided to purchase some. I was not disappointed it does exactly what it says it stops the pigeons landing on the roof as the gel being permanently soft it sticks to their feet, so that when they take flight the gel then sticks to their body giving them what is only to be described as applying DEEP HEAT On.IT WORKS THERE IS NO MORE SCRATCHING, NESTING, PLUS NO MORE DEFFICATION TO CLEAR UP. HHOOORRRAAAYYYY!!!!!!!So providing you can get up to apply the gel to the area where you do not want the birds to be, all you then need to do it apply the gel with a mastic gun after pulling the very top of the tube off, cutting the end of the tube and using a long implement to pierce the sealed end in the tube.I would recommend this product should you need to as we did to remove them from our house these pests.

Maybe this is good product if it actually worked as intended, but I ended up with a useless product that wouldn't come out of the container. I bought this directly from Amazon and put it inside of my application gun, and the gel inside was frozen solid as if it was too old and formed into a solid mass inside. There was a solid mass of gel that wouldn't budge out of the container even with the hardest pressure on the application gun. I had to send this product back to Amazon for a refund, so this was more of an hassle than it was worth. At least the birds on my roof are happy because they never got to experience what this gel is supposed to do.

OH MY GOSH...it actually works!!!! I am SOO HAPPY to be able to say that this works!!!! For 3 years now we have been dealing with birds living under our large awning on our back porch. In other words, our beautifully freshly painted deck looks like a white war zone. Ugh, it's awful! Literally...the whole deck would be covered and bird droppings and it is not the easiest stuff to clean off of wood! The birds swarm under there when it is raining and we typically get 1-2 birds nest in the corners, every year... it is a constant battle with these birds!!Before applying this, I made sure nothing was in the existing birds nest (and there wasn't) and I went crazy applying this to the beams where the birds always gather. It has rained several times since doing so and I am soooo happy to say that we don't have a drop of bird droppings on our deck!!! I was weary but because of such great reviews and such great pricing, I had to give it a try. It was very easy to apply. I would just warn others to be very careful when applying! The gel is extremely sticky and it does not harden...the consistency stays gooey. We dropped a little on our deck and I don't know why but we just assumed it would harden... the next day we realized it does not harden so when we cleaned it up, it just smeared everywhere and left a sticky spot on our deck. Luckily it wasn't anything that a little goo gone couldn't handle! We now have a clean deck and no birds in sight! I would absolutely recommend this product and I would definitely buy more in the future if needed. This stuff really works!

so, it is messy... but it will keep birds or squirrels off your stuff. I had squirrels climbing into my potted garden plants and eating my stuff, so I put a bead around the edge, the next day no ripe tomato was touched, but, there was flattened area in my bead, and sticky paw prints on my deck he he heI also put some on plastic wrapped rocks by my fish pond, now when the birds land to try to eat a fish or take a bath in my pond, they get sticky feet, the plastic wrap makes cleaning up later easy.this stuff does melt in the hot summer sun but is still a sticky mess no animal wants to step in. I started to put it on lengths of wood on my pots to keep the pots clean but still keep animals from hoisting up on the edges.I am betting this would work for birds that attack your car windows in spring, but put plastic wrap down first (maybe hold in place with magnets or easy to remove tape?) then put the gel on the plastic food wrap. it works on my rocks, birds hate this.I am finally getting the fruits of my labor in my garden and the vermin have not come back, guess he is still trying to clean his paws? learned his lesson? found an unguarded garden elsewhere.... either way, my vegetables are for me now.I think this would be good to protect a fruit or nut tree from climbing animals, put a ring around the trunk (or wrap in plastic wrap and coat that....) would be worth a try.oh, I should add you do need a caulk gun to use this, but you should get one anyway if you dont own one. cheap and handy. remember to release pressure on the gun when your done and recap. a little goes a long way.good luck to everyone who tries this, I love it. less work than trapping......

February 5, 2013: This product is absolutely brilliant! It is horribly sticky, difficult to see, and quite effective. The gel has transformed what had become a sort of meeting-place for flying vermin (aka, English House sparrows ... a non-native, invasive species imported from England in the mid 1800s) into a clean, quiet environment. For those worried that the gel traps sparrows to die a horrible death, this is not the case. That said, they have to (loudly) remove themselves from the happy stickiness provided by Bird-B-Gone ... which seems to result in one-trial learning. The gel has worked well in our heretofore mild winter.A couple of tips. One, do not even think of using this product without having several pairs of disposable, latex gloves with you. (Once the first pair is 'polluted' by the glue, roll them off, and replace with a new pair.) Two, use the pressure-release tab on your caulking gun liberally. Three, have a hole-less plastic shopping bag with you to hold the caulking gun while negotiating a ladder. No matter how careful I was, the caulking gun got 'polluted' by the gel ... did I mention that the gel is sticky . Have some individual paper towels, hanging out of a back-pocket. You will thank me. (Wipe once, fold the residue inside, crumple the towel, and throw it away immediately.)While costly, the improvement is priceless. (Buy an extra tube. It doesn't go as far as you will initially estimate.)March 8, 2016 Addendum. Well ... some 3 years later ... I had to add some of this sticky wonderfulness to several potential sparrow nesting spots yesterday. (Over the years, pollen and leaves had reduced the effectiveness of the original treatment.) Saturday, the day before yesterday, the sparrows told us that the time was right for the 'refresh.' Those of you whom enjoy trashy invasive vermin waking you up shortly before daybreak ... well you just go right ahead enjoying it. To reuse a line made famous on the Fox show, In Living Color, "Homey, don't play dat!"We'll continue to cherish the peace and quiet restored for us this morning. And all of you PeopleforEatingTastyAnimals types, there were some feathers in the remnants of the first application, but no corpses of dead birds.BTW. Re-using/emptying the partially used tube (remaining from the original application) was no problem at all. For three years that partially used tube had been on the shelf, inside a plastic bag. It had not even formed a skin at the nozzle! I've ordered a couple of more tubes so that if I need them, I'll have them on-hand.
