USCAMEL stereo microscope
USCAMEL stereo microscope has interchangeable pairs of 10x20mm widefield eyepieces, 0.7X-4.5X attached zoom Objectives, upper and lower LED lighting, a pillar stand, and a black ring light. The forward-mounted binocular viewing head has an interpupillary range of 54 to 75mm and a 45-degree inclination to help facilitate viewing for younger users. The WF10x20mm eyepieces combine with the 0.7X-4.5X zoom objectives to provide 7X-45X magnification, provide flexible magnification for specimens of all sizes and can be adapted to any experiment.
The microscope has upper illumination that reflects light off the specimen for enhanced visibility of opaque specimens, and lower illumination that transmits light up through the specimen for enhanced visibility of translucent and transparent objects. The LED light source provides bright, cool light for working with temperature-sensitive or live specimens. In addition, the microscope also includes a powerful led ring light to flood the field of view with brilliant, shadow-free illumination that is cool enough for working with temperature-sensitive specimens. And the microscope has 100mm working distance. Metal construction is durable and stain-resistant.

Well, I had to rewrite my review. Turns out a box that has been accidentally set aside was the key to the entire thing because it had the eye pieces that make this functional. This is actually a really great scope, and now I’m sending the other one I bought to replace it back. I saw they raised their price a bunch though so 3 stars for shady business dealings.

We bought this microscope for our little scientist after we were disappointed by the flimsy plastic build of another microscope at a comparable price. For this one, we paid around 80 USD + tax due to a 50% off coupon on the site. The build quality is great - it is very sturdy and heavy. The base is does not shift around when focusing on samples or moving them. The dimmable LED ring for illumination is great as well, except for the faint buzzing sound it emits when not at full brightness. But I have had this issue with other dimmable LED lights as well, and I much prefer it to a hot halogen bulb. I can’t say for certain without seeing them in person side to side, but in the photos this model looks exactly like the AmScope SM-1BS, which is significantly more expensive.

I recently picked up the USCAMEL Binocular Stereo Microscope, and it’s been a hit with the kids and me alike for viewing electronics and biological samples. The construction is both flexible and pleasing, making it easy to adjust and use. The bright imagery it offers is impressive, though I did notice that phase contrast isn’t provided, which could have been a nice addition. There’s a bit of aberration at the extreme edges, but it doesn’t take away from the overall experience. This microscope works well for mycology. The LEDs provide enough light to work effectively. This microscope isn’t too bulky and is highly adjustable. The optics are good enough and offer good clarity. I wear glasses so I can’t get as close to the lenses as I would like. It would be nice if the microscope came with a camera system to capture various samples.
