I bought these because they were significantly less expensive than on-brand and had more pieces. They generally work ok, particularly for large area images without a lot of single pieces along the edges.I have found them very frustrating to use for smaller shapes. Particularly for single pieces along edges or fine lines (think whiskers and tails). The plastic is thinner than name brand and has more flex to it, so it is more likely that minimal jostling will cause your image to scatter. For small bead pictures or ones that have fine detail along the edges, the board can easily flex while ironing and cause pieces to go astray. You can see from the image that the perler brand trays have additional bracing that prevent the board from flexing so easily.

Kids melt the boards but holding the iron crooked when beading - so had to get replacements. They loved the variety. Worked as expected.

The ironing paper shouldn't be used for ironing, I recommend your own parchment paper instead. I also suggest trying the "tape method" to save your boards, since they are quite flimsy. But this is a cute selection of boards in different shapes, and they work just fine. I love the tweezers they came with.

These boards have worked well and are a good value. I did not iron directly on the boards so as to avoid warping. The masking tape method works well so no need to iron creations directly on the board.

My kids are getting crazy with the beads. I hope I saw this set earlier. It’s one set and all.

These are sturdy and good quality. The plastic things are not good for ironing unless you want it to melt to your design.

Exactly what I needed, just the right size for working with children ages 4 through 2nd grade.
