  • Please take note that this would only work for these engines with VVT (Variable Valve Timing) and will not work for VVL (Variable Valve Lift) type of engines. 2011 models and up will need 10369A which is included in the kit.
  • Camshaft phaser timing tool kit is designed to hold the Camshaft Phaser’s while performing the loosening and tightening of the Oil Control Valves during service procedures on the 3.6 L Engine.

Works but could use an updated tool speck. The tool used to push back timing chain tension on passenger side will not allow clearance to remove inside cam and must be modified with a dermal grinder type tool. Not much plastic needs to be removed. The other option is to carefully bend the plastic tool enough to pass the cam by it… this what I did after learning the cam would not clear the plastic tool as I had already unbolted the cam. The notches on the plastic block used to secure the timing gears were worn with just one use. I would not recommend using this set on multiple cars but for a one time job it’s definitely worth the money. Watch every video you can find. Get all your tools and parts you believe are needed including gaskets before starting the job.

Bought this to do a cam job on a dodge 3.6 in a mini van. For the back head (bank 1) this tool worked just fine. For the front head (bank 2) it didn't really work. The little L-shape tensioner release tool worked well. However the plastic tool to push the tensioner back didn't work. It wouldn't push it back to lock it open. This kit also doesn't come with the pin to lock the tensioner open. I used a screw driver to push it back and a paper clip to hold it open. This kit isn't a complete waste of money but this is what I had to do to get the job done.Update.....customer service reached out to me and said they're working on the issues with the kit. Like I said it's not a bad kit, just needed some improvements. Hopefully the next customers kit will be better.

Ive used this several times replacing rocker arms on 3.6 pentastar engines. This kit works well. Its a tight fit onto the cam gear but works perfectly
