This thing is great to keep an eye on your prints. It fits perfectly on the P1S and it's very easy to use. Very happy with the purchase.

The unit itself works well and makes control of my printer easy. There is some uncertainty as to the longevity of the open standard from the printer manufacturer firmware updates though, so time will tell as to the ultimate outcome.

It does what it says, but Bambu just announced a locked-down firmware and by reading through their blog post, it looks like this won't work after you update your firmware. Check Bambu's blog to see for yourself before purchasing it.

I have tried everything, updated firmware, and this pos just doesn't work. I still have to start prints from the slicer or bambu hand app. If I try to start a print from the panda touch it just sits there, for hours, and never starts. I select the same file from the printers built in controller and it starts immediately. The only feature that works is assigning filament slots in the ams. Nothing else works. It won't let me log into the Bambu cloud, it doesn't display the thumbnails for prints, you can't select a different slot for the print if you want to change the color, it doesn't do anything useful. Waste of time and money. Don't bother with this, just use the handy app on your phone.

I'll start by saying that you're not going to see crazy results swapping to the panda jet. I think it's necessary to set expectations for what a single fan is capable of even if changing the ducts. Now I will say if you're trying to get every ounce of performance from your machine this is 100% worth the upgrade. Now that I gave that little disclaimer let's talk numbers. I did three overhang test for each duct using the exact same print settings. Essentially I would print one of the test and then just press print again. After getting three samples on the stock duct I quickly swapped in the panda and click print again that way the only difference in this test was just the duct. Fan was running at 100% and essentially here are the results:The stock duct gave me a clean 40° overhang with the 50° marker being about halfway decent but not quite perfect. Not badThe Panda duct gave me a clean 50° overhang with a 60° being about halfway decent. A 10° performance boost in overhangs isn't crazy but definitely not bad if you're trying to get the max performance.Like stated it's not a crazy difference but to be honest even the rest of the overhangs look a lot better using the panda than the stock one did. I uploaded a picture of the results from the best samples.

A few months ago I built my own remote printer monitor using an open source software called xTouch. The reality is I ended up never using it because the screen quality was really poor and I didn't want to invest a bunch of time and money trying to build something better. You can see the devices together in one of my photos for comparison. Then I discovered the Panda Touch. At first I wasn't really sure it was for me because folks often buy it as an upgrade to the P1P or P1S. I decided to buy one and try it for myself when I discovered that it supported all Bambu printers and even multiple printers at the same time. What I love!I use the Panda Touch on my work desk as a way to monitor my A1 Mini and my X1C. It has a very clean and crisp display making it is really easy to read. It is also a touch screen that is highly responsive and may even be a tad more responsive than the display on the X1C.I prefer purpose built and dedicated devices over all of the switching apps on my phone or PC. With the Panda I never have to open my phone and wait for the Bambu Handy app to load just so I can check the progress of a print. I can just tap the screen if it has gone to sleep. (Which is a configurable setting) It is a completely frictionless and familiar experience. It feels like I detached my X1C display and am now able to use it with both of my printers. (This device has a magnetic attachment to its base, so you can even detach it and run it wireless for up to 30 minutes)I have been using the device for about a week and I have found that I can monitor and control nearly everything for both printers. The display is a huge upgrade over the A1 Mini so I use it to configure my filament types and colors. The larger screen makes it easier to work with and the navigation options feels similar to my X1C display. The setup process is very well done and will automatically discover your printers once connected to your Wifi network.Any errors or warning that I would normally see on the printers show up on the Panda Touch so I don't have to get out of my chair to see what might be going on when I hear a machine stop printing. They include a little ducky in the box!Print from USB: One feature I have not yet tried is printing directly from USB. They included a USB port and this capability directly into the device. I was talking with my local library about this because they have a need to print from USB and The A1 Mini does not have a USB port. I don’t know that I will personally use this feature, but it is a great bonus feature and for some may be exactly the feature they need.Tips: The device shipped with an older firmware. I looked up how to update it was so easy I was able to update it via the browser on my phone. I have never had a device firmware update that was this easy before.Hopes for future firmware enhancements: I would like to be able to select the filament pressure setting since I have done the filament calibrations for some of my most used filaments and I am able to select it on the printers. I would also love to see an image of what is printing on the home screen. I love that feature on the printer displays.

I’m now able to complete almost perfect bridges. I’ve tested up to 20cm long with no issues which is amazing. At times there is maybe too much cooling which has led to one issue and the magnets aren’t the strongest so if an issue does occur the printer will complain the front came off.Still think it’s worth it though for the price I paid on sale.

Husband bought 2 of these. 1 for his Bambu P1P and 1 for his Bambu P1S. Both were super easy to install while following the instruction. He says he has noticed a better print quality after installing them with better over-hang quality.

This upgraded my P1S to make it easier to use. At first it didn't display the model of what was being printed like the X1 series does, but after a firmware update it did. The ability to do basically what the X1 screen does plus control up to 10 printers is nice. It also has the USB port to add a thumbdrive with files to print. I have this mounted on the printer and it has been on it since getting the printer. I haven't used the factory screen since setting this up. Highly recommend to update to this if you have a P1 series or even multiple printers.

Update: 11 Dec 2024: We will first update you on the Recient Bambu firmware update for the P1s 01.07.00.00 that was released today, it is for filament adjustment in the ams while a print job is underway also SDcard firmware update support.I did the upgrade and it did not effect the Panda Touch from working, so that great news. But to the Panda Touch; Still having issues wth it connecting at startup and the thumbnail is still not working right. I sure hope they fix this soon. So everytime I start a new print the thumbnail displayed is not the current print it is either the last print or a couple back. So it is not diplaying the curent print properpy. Please Bigtree get this fixed with an update soon. Also noticed that if the printer sits idol for awhile but still powered on the Panda has a hard time connecting to the printer when a print is sent to the printer, it takes a long time to connect and this could be part of the thumbnail issue. Hope this helps someone out if they are considering getting this. it is great with the most recient firmware but buggy, and the good news it still works with todays Bambu firmware update.UPDATE: 5 Dec 24: Ok I have been using the Panda Touch for 2 Weeks and there is still issues. For some reason my last update did not upload. so i will cover it and the current. As soo as I got it I updated the firmware to the new 1.0.6 that enables thumbnails for the item being printed, the picture i included displays that. all seemed to be working until the 3rd 0r 4th print. the touch still comes on and always for all the fuctions except the thumbnail. it has gone back to the Panda picture. I went to the setting and toggles the option off and the touch reboots and thenwent back and toggles it back on and the touch again reboots and the thumbnail returns. But as soon as you power the printer down and the the touch turns off with it as soon as you turn it on again it is gone so you have to go through it all over again. Hope that the fix this bug. the unit still takes a long time to connect to the printer and i ger the qrcode screen to trouble shoot and then it connects. so there seems to be some bugs with the new firmware. Other suggestions to improve the overall use it to allow different themes or color choices for users to select instead of it looking like all other pandas out there. it is a good addition to the P1s just seems to have a few more bug to work out with the new firmware. just hope it gets more stable and is not rebooting all the time in the middle of prints. when it does the thumbnail of the print does not come back.Received the Panda touch only a few days ago, when I first powered up the unit it started with the set-up process. it had issues connecting to my wifi, the first few attempts failed to connect and crashed and restarted the set-up process form the start. it took more then 10 attempts to connect. once it connected it found my P1s without issue and was connected. once connected it crashed and restarted again. I set the rear power switch to battery and put it back n the charging plate and it seems to be stable know.My unit can with 1.0.4.1 firmware and with the recent release of the 1.0.6.0 I decided to complete the upgrade. After downloading the .bin and .img file i started the update. The update went through without issue. i then removed the unit again and put the power switch back to the recommended 5v power source. I have not yet sent a print to the P1s since the addition of the Panda Touch and it has not crashed since the update. The only issue i am having is when i go to the printer i can not choose any of the options that are listed below it, like the nozzle selection, filament and such. it is not marked as the master and is the only Bambu printer I have connected to it at this point. not sure if this is a new firmware issue or something else. all other functions seem to be working as they should.Overall i think it will be a great addition to the P1s as long as it continues to function as intended and it no longer crashes. maybe after i send a print to the machine the other options will become available and we will see it the update provided the thumbnails of the actual item being printed as indicated that the update will provide.Review will be updates as i use the panda touch over the next few weeks and see how the update performs.

We've replaced the stock ducts with these on all 5 of our machines and would do it again in a heartbeat. They definitely improve overhangs and unlike the stock fan, it doesn't matter how parts are oriented on the bed. They are not the easiest to install and do require picking away at the resin that holds the stock fans on,
