Worked perfect. Plenty strong enough for any home shop with a hoist.

Seems to be able to do the job just the same as the higher price jacks. Fast shipping.

Like the small compact design. The jack is slow to lift. The bottom 3 bolts don't provide enough strength. If you load it with a transmission it gets wobbly. I had to weld the bottom section.

The only reason I gave it a generous 3stars is because I think I fixed the problems that it has. After I assembled it I did the air release like the instructions say. Which was hard to understand by a picture of a screw driver and instructions saying to pinch rubber plug to let air out. Basically after pumping jack about halfway up push on the side of fill plug for air bleed off. After all that it leaked from the valve pretty bad. Out of desperation I used it to lower a C6 down from my car. It worked pretty good for that, but noticed it was leaning a lot. So got the transmission off immediately. So the leak got worse and was thinking about returning it, then decided to pull the valve out. So by laying it over and having the valve the highest point on the hydraulic part of the jack removed it. Well a bunch of air came out and I put the valve back in the o-ring was great. Stood it back up pulled out the fill plug and topped it with hydraulic fluid, then did the air bleed off step. Wanted to make sure it had plenty of fluid in it. Well no more leak and seems to work great. As for the leaning issue I added 4 self taping bolts 2 on each side.(see pictures) It's very sturdy now. Piss poor original design with only 3 bolts to secure the stand to the legs.

This jack was a little light-duty, so I returned it. I went and bought something more beefy, that someone is a proper garage would want to use, daily. I'm sure this jack is OK for occasional use.

I used this thing to help me pull the C4 automatic transmission out of my 1965 Mustang fastback. I believe the build quality for this transmission jack fits the bill for an at home DIY'er, but I could see it getting torn up in a professional setting. The casters do not roll as easily and nicely as some other transmission jacks I have used, and the pump is EXTREMELY slow, and this is after bleeding all the air from the cylinder, it legitimately moves in maybe 1/8 to 1/4 inch increments on each pump of the handle, that is the main reason for the 4 star review. Assembly is pretty intuitive, instructions could be easier to follow. The unit seems decently sturdy, I didn't have any fear of it tipping over or anything, however the saddle does seem a bit chintzy, but it did it's job. Overall, I would recommend this transmission jack for lighter to medium duty use.

Bought this to pull a transmission from my son's 2002 Avalanche. Worked well, although you don't want to roll the transmission far while on the jack. Raising, lowering and adjusting angles was easy enough when re-installing the transmission. If this is something you do every once in a while, this will do just fine. If you are doing this on a regular basis you probably need a more expensive jack. Pulling the transmission would have been a lot more difficult without this jack.

When I used first time after receiving it to lift transmission from sub-frame, the one of leg was bent. I contact Amazon service center and they recommended return it. But it was already assembled and is too heavy to return. If seller read this review, I hope that seller will replace the part that was damaged. It's too weak and four wheels are not touching on the ground at the same level. Not a good machine. Be careful to use.

This is about the best tranny jack design for the price. I used it on a bendpak scissor style lift with a cross member (tail end of the trans is blocked), and had to wrangle a different, shorter trans Jack then transfer to the torin (torin is level with trans on it's lowest setting. I had a strong assistant who was able to hold half the weight while I made the transfer from jack to jack.)You need a design that swivels 4 ways, not just 2. Some inferior designs will only let you tilt one way, and it's tough to work like that.Bottom line is this jack makes the job so much easier. You save time, avoid frustration, and its easier on your body. Highly recommended.Pro tip: get flex sockets

Unfortunately mine didn't handle shipment well so was scuffed up and missing fasteners. Was able to put it together though and quickly found that either it was damaged in shipment or was assembled poorly, pretty sure the latter. The casters weren't flat on the ground causing it to wobble and the cylinder wouldn't come back down without even pressure applied downward. Both seem rather unsafe to me, the latter problem requiring a helping hand to get the unit down with any weight on it.The hand pump is absolutely terrible for a transmission jack, essentially forcing you to have at least one extra person. One to help hold the transmission while the other pumps. It also is very, very slow taking a good few minutes to pump up all the way.Assembly instructions and picture on box for the chain hook were incorrect. Had to install it differently to properly secure the chain.Really the only good thing I can say about it is I like the color scheme, red and black, though that was even ruined for me due to shipping damage.Without a redesign and some quality control improvements I highly recommend staying away from this one. Terribly disappointing.
