Item is unstable. Doesn't work, poor design. Socket does not stay to provide any stability ... kept falling off. Wasted my time making this purchase. (Can't give a zero star, but it isn't worthy of 1 star rating.)

Utilises a standard 5 mm Allen key ( supplied ) to provide leverage against the female part of the chainring bolt. This stops it spinning when trying to remove it, usually to replace a worn chainring. As the barrel is longer than the run of the mill, flat, peg spanner, it does slip/ tip out of the bolt slot easier. On the plus side, the longer Allen key used does provide a bigger surface for a better grip when tightening. Came in a clear plastic bag, no instructions for use included.

Used to unscrew seezed chainring bolts on my Brompton. Tried the other type of tool which was rubbish. Well made, high quality and highly recommended.

Does the job.It won't get much use, but when you need it, you need it.
