Brightens an already bright instrument to the point of harshness and doesn't hold the reed securely. You should be able to secure the reed and have it remain in place while removing the mouthpiece. This ligature is loose even when tightened as far as it can go; I can shift the reed with a gentle push sideways. Not recommended.

Best ligature I have ever used. Makes a better sound and tone quality.
