Fits good in the OEM channel and straps pretty tight. I had it out in a very windy day and its not great on those occasions. If you are doing a lot of highway driving in higher winds you might consider the original as it seems a bit more aero dynamic. This top does look cool and sits in such a way that if it rains there should be no pooling and should drain behind the driver and passenger but not onto the backseat.

Bought this for an 84 cj7. It included instructions, but none are needed, as this thing is so easy to install a 2 year old can do it. I got the black denim version, which is really just black vinyl. I don’t understand the negative reviews. I think it’s great, especially for $75. It does have a big tag on it that says “made in China” which doesn’t really bother me because the quality seems fine.

Just what the doctor ordered. I have a 1980 CJ7 and this fits perfectly. I even have a full roll cage installed, and it goes over with no issue and looks GREAT! Would buy again, even if it ripped. The sticking is top notch, and I really try to make it as tight as possible everytime.

I used this to replace my old bikini top that had the straps which broke. This one is better than the one with straps. The material is strong and durable, though I've only had it on for 2 days, but I have a soft top and doors made out of the same material...it holds up very well. I would definitely recommend this top for anyone who wants a bit of cover in the summer. I put this on my 1984 CJ7...fits perfectly...even a bit better than the old strapped one.

Really good fit for my 1983 CJ7. I would love to get this in a nicer quality material, but for the price, I am not complaining. Not a huge fan of the strap that runs under middle of the top that attaches middle of windshield. It is a necessity, but its sort of in the way (a very minor dislike, to be clear).Easy to install, took just a few minutes. Slick look that replaces the strap down version. Riders in the backseat will appreciate the difference. Overall this is an easy recommend. Bestop makes good stuff.
