Decided that I would like to carry a tow loop for the rear of my 2019 Ford Ranger. I now see many vehicles coming out with tow loops matching the set on the front. Could not find any aftermarket loops for the rear, so I thought a single loop (D-Ring Shackle) mounted in the Tow Receiver would do the trick. While the block does fit the receiver the hole for the locking pin is smaller than the one that works with my tow hitches, the hole is quite a bit smaller. The hole is also blocked with a gob of slag or some other material. So I have to spend additional funds to find a smaller locking pin or have the hole drilled to remove the slag in order to fit the same locking pit that I use for my other tow hitches - additional cost of $5 to $20. Sending this one back - They are going to charge me for the return ($6.50). Not mentioned in the advert...

All good but very short. It works on some of my recievers but it is to short to pin to the reciever on the front of my Kubota RTV.

Very stout. Not welded along the under seam like others I've seen. Very short too, doesn't stick way out of the receiver, it's perfectly compact. There was a little bit of wiggle room between it and my receiver, but not bad. The shackle is high quality, and comes with a red cross pin. Can't go wrong with this product, and way more affordable than a WARN or ARB version.

It looks solid and fits O.K. But the printed material which I received with it say "Warning: This product is designed primarily to enhance the appearance of the vehicle." But, I purchased it for a completely different reason...

This thing is beefy. It is well made, the shackle is really nice, and mine fit like a glove. I have read that some folks got one of these and it was misshapen and required some grinding and fitting to work properly. Mine was perfect out if the box. It does rattle a little bit in my Curt receiver hitch and I suppose if one was to install it and drive around with the recovery hitch then it would probably become annoying. But if that was the case a bit of rubber would dampen most of the noise and not interfere with the intended purpose.

This recovery hitch has both it's positives and it's negatives.First the positives. The insert is a complete piece of bar stock, instead of a hollow square tube. The insert comes with a nice looking layer of black powder coat (this is also a negative, read on). The D shackle is zinc plated to prevent corrosion, and looks pretty good. The insert is fairly short, preventing a long overhang. The entire piece is fairly substantial and looks very good on the vehicle. The negatives. There is really just one negative, but it's pretty major. I have a factory installed hitch on my Jeep. I frequently tow a boat and have never had any issues with the hitch. When I put the insert in, I found the powder coat made it slightly too large, causing it not to fit well. I forced the insert in by kicking it. I was able to put in the pin to make it functional, but I couldn't remove the insert by hand.Once I removed the insert, I completely ground off the powder coat. I sandblasted it smooth, and painted it black. It now looks fantastic and fits.I really wanted to give this a full 5 stars. Unfortunately, fitting into the hitch is incredibly important. This was intended to be plug and play, and shouldn't require so much work. That being said, the price is reasonable and I don't mind a project. If you're like me, this is a good purchase.

great item for people that have fitted NAS 2" receiver hitch to landrovers including discoverys. I Look ever where on the internet and this was also the best price I've found.

This will get the job done and is great for those that have an OEM receiver. The only problem I have is that it is a bit out of square and doesn't fit in my aftermarket bumper. But then again that bumper has two recovery points, so I'll be selling this to the next newb in our group that is still stock.

This is a solid piece; I have no worries about using it. Importantly, it fits well and does not rattle. After researching other options on Amazon, I was a little worried about it being too small. It also does not stick out of my hitch any further than necessary. Great value at this prince too.The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the D-ring and pin-- they are raw metal, not powdercoated. I bought a couple of extra and swapped a nice all black ring instead (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CF1A6U) to go with the recovery strap (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CF1A6U). Also added a poly isolator (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001P22UUU). This makes for a nice package, and I'm very happy overall.

I have a Class III hitch that has a standard 2"x2" receiver tube. The description states this should fit; it does not. It is too large by about an 1/8" on two sides. Not sure if it was milled to the wrong specs or what, but it simply doesn't fit and so it was returned. This is cut out of a solid block of steel and looks to be extremely sturdy -- if it fit.
