It appears each piece were measured and cut to shape in a specific orientation. When installing, try to find the best orientation of the pieces where it fits best with least gaps. The clips feels like it will break when you put them on but just push gently and it will snap in place nicely. The pieces fit snugly when properly oriented that I didn’t have to use all the clips to keep the shades in place.

The large shade left about 1/4 to 1/2 in gap , tried using the clips but would not fit into the edges of the shade without breaking when trying to attached. Just left the back edge with 1/2 gap until I figure out something. Little disappointed to say the least.

A bit unweildy to install, but the fit is very good, leaving hardly any gap at all on four sides. It did come with an unusual foam tube around the shade which I didn't know how to use so I removed it so the brackets would fit. It covers the roof, looks decent, and I am guessing probably cuts down on the heat a little. Cabin still gets into the 120F range on a 90F day, so not sure how much it is helping but every little bit counts I suppose.

Waited to experience 2 weeks of use before posting this feedback.The install was extremely easy. (I should mention that 2 clips were missing from the manufacturer's packet but that did not cause issues). The sunshade stays in place from the force of the spring-frame edges pressing firmly against the headline opening. I have driven over many uneven surfaces, no movement, no additional sagging, and now without fear of it falling - remains securely seated.Significantly reduces interior ambient temperature: 12-15 degrees cooler inside when parked in full sun (temperature with sunshade in place vs without sunshade - SW Florida). When driving the A/C efficiently maintains a comfortable cabin temperature at a lower fan speed.Very pleased with this purchase as using it creates a noticeable difference in comfort. For those with OCD - you might experience some slight ripples in the surface (see photo). I don't mind this fact at all. You can even see some scratches on the sunshade from my kids/dog. This R1S was purchased for use, not for display. I find the roof sunshade function delivered at 100%. Highly recommend!

We have factory tint on our 2024 Rivian R1S roof windows, and you can feel a little bit of heat when holding your hand near the glass. We live in Phoenix Metro, so we get a lot of intense heat for a good portion of the year. This product was recommended by other R1S owners in the Phoenix area. The sunshades were extremely easy to install, and they stay in place, even with the windows open. Very minimal gaps between the sunshade and edge of window. The reduction in radiant heat is noticeable. I would consider this a great value!
