I love this easel and how adjustable it is! The drawer and storage capacity is just perfect for what I was looking for. I also really love the color

It was missing a bolt (or so I thought, until a colleague at the art studio where I paint found it lodged in the drawer.) She helped me figure out how to keep the back leg from dangling all the time. It still doesn't hold in place when it's being carried, but that's fairly minor.Overall, the easel is sturdy and stretches to hold fairly large canvases. So far, I've only used it indoors since it's sinter but this spring and summer I plan to do some plein air work. The strap that comes with it is kind of flimsy, so I plan to buy a padded guitar strap. The kit I bought came with art supplies so it's a good value/ would make an excellent gift for an artist.

I was skeptical about the quality but I was pleasantly surprised. It is well made and easy to put together (a few wing nuts). The "storage box" is a plus.

It comes assembled and all you have to do is unfold everything and figure out which side is up. I took the legs completely off because I am using it on a tabletop. One thing I found strange is the top slider thing that clamps onto a canvas doesn't go down far enough for a 16 x 20 canvas so you have to raise the bottom piece that the canvas sits on, high enough for it to reach the clamp. Which is way too high for a tabletop sitting position so I am not using the clamp for my 16 x 20 pieces. But this easel was meant for standing so I don't find fault. I's gorgeously beautiful, and the perfect French blue color, I can't stop looking at it. I love it so much.

This is a well-constructed **lovely** easel - if I had room in my apartment, I would leave it out all the time - it's that attractive. As my apartment is extremely small, however, this serves exactly the function I purchased it for - it is completely compact, and is easy to set-up and break down with very little time/effort. The legs ar adjustable, so you can set it to whatever height you need - standing, sitting in a chair, etc. Although it's a little large, it also functions quite well as a table-top easel, provided you have enough room on your desk or work surface. I didn't realize that not only does it come with a palette, it also includes a nylon strap to attach to the brass fitting on top, so it's ready to go for outdoor paining (I know there's a fancy french term for this, but you know what I mean:-) ). The price for this easel is more than fair - it's a third or less than what I would have paid at a store where I live, leaving me money to buy more art supplies to use it with!
