I typically make small (5"-15") gift boxes with my grandson. These clamps are excellent for applying balanced pressure across all four corner joints (as with any clamp, you still need to visually inspect and adjust as needed). My grandson loves these, they are easy to use, produce good results, and wind up and store easily. I have a dozen of the clamps and they store well in a drawer.

There are cheaper strap clamps, but I needed something that would reliably hold epoxy without catastrophic leaking. This clamp does the job wonderfully. The photos show my makeshift form for circular epoxy pours. It has a wood bottom that's wrapped in epoxy tape. The siding is a piece of flexible landscape barrier. At the bottom of the barrier, there's a black strap. That's the Bessey clamp. I use silicone caulk to seal seems. When it first shipped, it was out of the package -- just loose in the box. While it upsets me when I get these sorts of packages, nothing was missing from the box. The handle can be used on either side for righties and lefties. There's a screw that holds the handle in place. I don't use the screw because I have needed to change where the handle is for different projects. When I first tightened the handle, it was awkward to reel in. There's not a lot of leverage. However, I keep the twisting handle -- the final tightening mechanism -- completely open. Once the strap is secure around the piece, twisting that handle applies so much pressure that I don't use screws or nails to keep the siding up. The 2nd photo shows my first (and only) leak. It happened because there was a tiny hole in the caulk. The pour still worked with that small hole.I love this clamp and will buy more in the future as I need them. I strongly recommend it.

As for all Bessy clamps this is very well made. It's easy to use. The only thing I don't like about it is the metal clasps on the strap itself. It interferes and limits the distance to one corner. Not sure why they didn't use one continuous strap instead of the two piece.

I have had this model clamp for many years and have just added a couple more. I lie the variable angle feature, the roll up strap as opposed to a loose strap, and the design that allows you to lay the clamp flat on a bench when you are clamping at the bottom of a piece. Beyond these features that make this model easier to use than others I have I feel the build quality is superior to that of the other brands that I own. I can also add clips to the strap if I'm clamping something with more than four corners, and, of course, the clips are not fixed at 90 degrees so one is not limited to clamping rectangular work. I have found them very well worth a few extra dollars over other, more limited, clamps.

The strap clamp is very well made, great fit, top notch performance.Very useful in specific cases, use it for frames, drawers and even cabinets in some cases. It does not provide a very string clamping pressure, but quite enough for smaller assemblies where joint strength is not paramount.

I made a few countertop Key/Wallet/Phone Caddys for Christmas gifts. This was the first time I used a strap clamp. It was a very good experience. Check out the pictures. I made 5 of these with ease. This is how I used it on this project.1. Cut all 45s2. Test fit the frame assembly and positioned the corner clamps loosely at each corner3. Lightly applied Titebond to all mating surfaces.4. Assembled the 4 pieces5. Lightly tightened the clamp.6. Made minor corner adjustments and pressed all sides down flat.7. Tightened the clamp by twisting the handle.8. Removed the clamp after one hour and started assembly of the next frame.I couldn't ask for a better tool for this project. It's way easier and gives better results than using the tape fold-up method.

This is a great clamp for doing picture frames. Much better solution than other products I tried. Probably will work great on boxes as well.

Needed corner clamps for a large canvas frame that I am building 36x48 with mitered corners. I tried 2 different corner clamps prior to getting this and both did not work, just couldn't get a tight fit in the in the corners. This strap clamp by Bessey worked perfectly for my application. Super easy to use, large enough strap to easily fit and was able to get a perfect tight fit for all 4 corners. Highly recommended.
