I first bought a cheap plastic model that broke almost immediately So I bought an all-metal model, but it was heavy and a real pain to use. Wish I'd bought this initially. The rare item that's better than bessey's version. Design brilliant, unique, and works great.

Lo utilizo para enmarcación, y aunque no es bueno para los marcos finos, para los gruesos funciona de maravilla, rápido, fuerte y cómo de usar.

I used to use the Betsy band clamp. Honestly, it's a hassle working with them. Hard to use and not strong enough. This one is the best by far. Easy to open and close and very strong. You can even use it just by one hand. I'm very satisfied with my investment.Strongly recommend 👌

This is a great tool upgrade from the standard strap ratchet clamps. I use it for clamping wooden picture frames. Works like charm. Great design.

Best overall framing, miter clamp or band clamp I've ever tried. FAR nicer than the Bessey, Jorgensen and Merle Clamp; I'm guessing it's far better than those I've not tried yet w/ it's unique features / retracting automatically, etc. Far superior to the lightweight Jorgensen band clamp, more convenient than Rockler's fairly nice band clamp, and much easier to use than the expensive, heavy, bulky Merle clamp. Corner grips ate ingeniously designed to grip any angle. They should give you extras for polygons, as they adjust to any angle. My only concern is if the ratcheting mechanism might eventually fail.

These are great clamps. The strap is detachable from one end. Strong return spring. Can operate with one hand. Overall a well built tool. The strap does get covered with glue over time though, causing some retracting problems where it enters the slot on the retract mechanism. This can be remedied by soaking the strap in warm water, then wiping off the loose glue.I didn't give it 5 stars because of the price increase. The Fed says inflation is less than 2% a year. Why the 40% price increase?

The Good: This clamp is a great way to secure large and complicated projects. The band opens up to an amazing 16 feet, which, for the average wood shop person, is plenty. The easy ratcheting handle takes almost no effort to manipulate and unlocks easily as well. The construction is plastic but feels strong. I believe this product will hold up to abuse over time. Finally, the corner brackets are a nice soft plastic that does not harm your project. The Bad: The corner brackets just sort of sit on the strap and can easily fall off it not careful. This makes manipulating the strap into place around your project difficult, and makes storage awkward as you have to put them in a bag to ratchet them down on the clamp.

I got this a few months ago, not sure exactly when I'd use it. Today I experimented making a largish (14"x18") crate using a dovetail jig I recently got. Despite the warnings about using unwarped wood, I decided to use some cheap whitewood, since it was my first effort. THAT was a big mistake, as getting the joints tight across the entire edge seemed nearly impossible. Then I remembered this little device. I strapped it around one end and ratcheted down, and that corner came together like magic. I put a box clamp on the end, moved this band clamp to the other end and did the same thing. The results were incredible -- it took all of the warp out, and made a perfect-fitting joint all the way up and down the seam. It would have taken at least four (and probably six) pipe clamps to have accomplished the same thing, and this did it faster and easier. What makes this work so well are the four corner fittings that pull the work together while encouraging a perfect 90° angle. That makes this product much better than an ordinary band clamp.I just ordered a second one, and I know it'll get plenty of use in the shop. Highly recommended.

After using the Wolfcraft one-hand band clamp that I purchased a few months back through Amazon.com my experience with this clamp was so positive that I recently bought another clamp to use in tandem with the first one. Compared to the standard band clamps, the Wolfcraft clamp is so much easier to position and tighten. The clamp has a substantial feel and weight and feels solid when clamped into position. There is certainly more than enough clamping pressure for my box making projects. Holding the clamp in one hand, I can easily position the band around the pieces to be held together after pulling out just enough band to go around the project. The auto-rewind feature for the band then makes it easy to pull in the slack by simply pushing a button with the same hand that is used to operate the ratcheting handle when applying pressure. I no longer need to have three hands in order to position and tighten the band, as was pretty much required by the old standard bandclamp. For both purchases of Wolfcraft clamps made through Amazon.com, the items came well within the projected timeframe for delivery, and the clamps were at least adequately packaged and protected with a bit of bubble-wrap. Pricewise, you would be hard pressed to beat Amazon.com's price per clamp. I've seen the same clamp in other places for considerably more. Sears sells one under the Craftsman label for about $35, and at least one of the many woodworking catalogs I receive shows this same clamp for $49.
