I've never used a blending board before. When I blended fiber, I did so on my medium size carder. The money I spent on it is cheaper than if I tried making it myself. I do have a lot to learn, but what little I blended so far is working. I've used odd fibers, which tend to be experimental. I do know, I have to use the little brush up side down for the fiber to stay on the board and not get into the brush. I happened to see someone using it that way on YouTube, which saved me frustration. The question for me is: "Why do I have to brush it upside down when others don't and get the correct result?" I can't see why this board would be any different than any of the very expensive ones I've seen online.

There are not enough staples in this so the pad is warped & lifted. I'd return it BUT I don't have the original packaging (Xmas gift). I'd be happy with a big discount & have it stapled down myself, but I'm unable to contact the seller. Buying from Amazon is frustrating. Upside is that the wood base is sturdy, but it's nowhere worth the $80!!
