Roloc-type discs are extremely convenient and efficient. I love these fiber discs because they strip pretty much everything off of metal (including mill scale) quickly and easily. They last a fair amount of time and don't eject metal needles at high speed as wire wheels do. I've gone through dozens with no issue. I buy a lot of these Benchmark Abrasive discs, they're my go-to for all my fabrication needs.

First off, these are great for removing paint, primer, body filler, surface rust, the skin from your knuckles, prepping for welding, and all sorts of things where you want to clean metal without removing any. Unfortunately, however, they do tend to come flying apart - the purple material comes off the black plastic roloc bit and shoots across the shop (2" wheel at 20,000rpm is about 115mph!). At $2 a piece, it's pretty frustrating when half of the bag can't be used because they fly apart the first time you spin up the die grinder.

Effective, very very effective.The disks wear very quickly and if I have space and access I use the 5 inch version but for pinch welds and tight corners these are the closest thing to a mediablaster you can mount on a power tool.

Work good but my only complaint is it leaves behind purple residue almost like it’s melting off.

Wears like iron, cuts through mill scale and paint. Removes welding splatter and rust with little wear to the outer edges. Outer edge doesn't shred apart when contacting a sharp burr or edge when finishing metal. These have outperformed the big name brands with far less cost. Must have. Independent reviewer.

Very effective product for paint and rust removal. Discs are consumed quickly, but they are extremely effective for paint and rust removal and other surface prep. Buy more than 1 pack becuase you will find many uses for this product. Great price too!
