Our toilet seat cracked and the hubby wanted something more durable We had a padded toilet seat that the plastic cracked and made it uncomfortable to sit on. This one is solid and is not going anywhere. Our buns fit fine and this toilet seat is a great buy.

The previous toilet seat lasted 20+ years. This one little over a year before it cracked.First sign of bad quality was that stains could not be be totally removed. The finish was starting to bubble as if it was not waterproof. If I could return it to get it replaced I would.The slow closing /descent mechanism worked fine.

I bought 2 os these to replace 2 plastic toilet seats. Toilet seats need to be cleaned and disinfected often. Within a month The finish started eroding from using Lysol wipes. I will be replacing these soon. Asked for refund or replacement from ToiletSeats.com ( the Bemis online store) and was told there was no warranty. $100 flushed away.

I have been very impressed with the soft close and the general appearance of this toilet seat. It attaches easily. The FINISH is VERY NICE and easy to clean. it closes softly and both the seat and the cover are soft close.I was so impressed with the first one I bought that I bought another for our second bathroom!I highly recommend !!!!!I will be buying another one as the need arises!

Great seat! Slow close feature is fantastic for maintaining a quiet environment. Super easy to install or reinstall with existing hardware. Took me less than one minute to install my seat with the existing hardware.Overall good quality. A bit high on the cost end but worth it.

It could be Awesome, it is just a toilet seat cover, but it is nice, unfortunately, it arrived with a major scratch on it. So it looks a bit funky in my nice white bathroom.

My old soft-close seat closer mechanism broke, so I bought this one after reading how durable this one is.Pros: looks good, built like a tank, very heavy duty, and the fastener system looks as if they’ll hold the seat in place (my old ones always kept loosening). Soft close works well.Cons: VERY heavy. When I installed it, I went to flip up the seat to try it and grunted in surprise at how heavy the cover was. The old one was light plastic, this one weighs several times what the old one did. My wife is handicapped and has complained how heavy it is. If the user will be a tiny wisp of a person, or someone with strength or mobility deficits, you might want to pick a lighter plastic seat.I’ve gotten to like the big beast of a seat - it doesn’t flex at all; and while I can’t imagine why I’d want to, I’m pretty sure I could stand on the closed lid without damaging it. It has a very “going to outlast the owner” feel to it. *Recommended*

I got this seat to replace the plastic one that came with our Toto white cotton colored Vespin II toilet. Frankly, I can't believe that with a toilet this expensive, Toto, the manufacturer, supplies such a cheap and uncomfortable seat, the one part that the consumer makes direct contact with. That seems like a guaranteed way to create unhappy customers. The plastic immediately scratched the first time I cleaned it. Instead, I got this Ashland seat from Amazon which properly matches the quality look of the toilet bowl and tank. The finish won't scratch when you clean it, the soft close is silent and the shape of the seat is comfortable. The shape and color match were perfect for this toilet. I bought two more for the other Toto toilets that are getting installed.
