It fits, but every time you open the case, you will have to squeeze the upper and lower case together more to insert the middle piece. It does not use a standard slot lock but is instead a cylindrical hole to push a steel security cable through. The lock is honestly overbuilt but will stop anyone without unusual hand tools (20+ inch stainless steel cable cutters) from opening it. Make sure you keep the removed piece when you install this.

Beautifully made lock in stainless steel. Unfortunately it came without the micro screws supposed to be screwed under my Mac Pro. I bought the lock about 3 months ago. I did not pay attention what was in the box. I have received my made to order Mac Pro a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to put the lock on realizing I do not have the screws. On the instruction sheet there was the pictures of the screws. Instructions did not say "screws are not included." Otherwise they would mention the diameter and the length. I hope they sand me the screws so, I would save time for my screw research. I bought another one hoping that screws was included. But, it did not come with the screws either. I am sending back the second one I bought and keep searching screws for the first one I bought. I hope this is noticed by the Belkin and send me the (2) screws I am missing. ( the last picture is my Mac Pro where the screws would go in.)CORRECTION: The screws was imbed and came with the MacPro. I used "T 7" star point screw. The small sleeve you must take out. In case you don't put a lock, it should stay there. It works perfectly. This computer is going nowhere. The system lock and the cable is different brand ( Kensington,) also tithed to my Pro Display (XDR.)
