I received the wrong tool. I ordered the one with a six side top to put a wrench on. I got a T-handle type.Tool look very good. The pipe threaded one I have works very well.

The main use for the puller is when plumbing-related work is already starting to go south on you. In my case, a 20-year old shutoff valve under the sink, where I was planning to install a new shiny faucet (“it’s an easy 30 min job” they said…), snapped. So… compression mount, new valves, shut the main off, pull the old brass ring off, remove the old nut, install the new valves. Right? Well, 20 years of sediment, not entirely round-shaped, old copper water pipe, a cross threaded install by somebody 20 years ago… Two hours later I was able to remove the rings and the nuts. Two main issues where this product could be improved (and I don’t believe any currently available alternative is better in any way) - make the tip slightly wider, so it doesn’t “sink” into the old, soft copper pipes, but pushes it away when you turn it. Number two: the two black rubbery stops on the tips handle are a total joke. They don’t hold at all. Every turn, and… one of them is on the floor and the handle is falling out.Overall, as I said, it’s unlikely there are more robust alternatives for the job (would love to be proven wrong). So the verdict is: the tool is usable, useful, keep it handy at home, hope one of the manufacturers will improve this so it’s not a total pain to pull those things off.

The handle is to small and sometimes its hard to turn and remove the angle stops.

Solid brass well made, easy to use. Easily slid off the old ferrule and then the nut. Installed new toilet water shut off valve on very short copper pipe. Did not have a long enough pipe protruding the wall to use a pipe cutter.

I probably would've given this olive puller a 5 star rating if I lived in Europe or in a country with Metric pipe threads, but , I am in the US and this item isn't available with Standard threads. It looked promising but didn't work for me too well/at all. The threads on this puller are metric as correctly described. The information provided for this item is somewhat misleading advising that it can accommodate standard threads as well. They do thread on, but, just barely onto two-three threads deep and eventually broke my puller's thread on the first try rendering it useless. It would be nice if the same manufactures designed a standard thread for 1/2" and 3/4" threads or provide a metric to standard adapter for these sizes. Do not purchase this item for Standard pipe threads.
