Works perfect to make my hanging sun lamp not so bright and in your face. It's like it was made to go here. I love it. It was easy to assemble and hang. I absolutely recommend

Review for: Beige Linen Small Drum Lampshade, 8.66" Top x 8.66" Bottom x 7.87" High Lamp Shade, Lamp Shade ReplacemThis was ok to put together. Just clip the cover into the clips and velcro the two ends together. Not too hard.I had some difficulty putting the adapter in, since my lamp has a harp and finial, and the plastic was tough to get into the wire framework.I may try to cover up the white plastic with something that looks better. For a small table lamp, people will be able to see that ugly white plastic adapter and it really doesn't look very good.As a Vine reviewer I try to provide good information. My scale:Most things will start at 4 stars.It gets that extra star only if it is outstanding.It loses stars for issues- bad sizing, poor quality.One star if is is not suitable for purpose or for gross misrepresentation.

This shade requires a bit of assembly but it was easy and fast to put together. I can’t say that it’s as nicely made as some of the older shades I have that came with lamps, but it passes muster as long as you don’t look too closely at it and you turn the seam to the back. I guess this is the way shades are sold now? A few months ago I bought a floor lamp with a similar shade I had to assemble, so I figure it must be much cheaper to ship it that way. I don’t love the visible seam, I think it screams “inexpensive” but the shade is inexpensive so I guess I can’t complain. Overall, the quality is consistent with the price.

These are almost 8.8 inches. Practically 9” wide. Not 8.5. I wanted to see if I like it then but a second for a 2 light lamp, but now they won’t fit. Just barely would have fit before at the correct size. That said, it’s a nice shade and I’m happy with the quality and color. Just frustrated because now I have to find another way to make it work.

Beige Linen Small Drum Lampshade, February 2025This lampshade looks surprisingly nice for something that clips together in a minute. It's not quite as nice as something that you might see in a store but unless somebody looks closely at it, they wouldn't know the difference.The shade portion comes rolled up to save shipping space. I found that some of the tight roll was still in evidence even when attached to the rings. I'm expecting that to relax and smooth out more over time. I'll retighten the velcro closure then to get a bit more overlap to more fully hide the velcro.Unfortunately, one of the clips seems to pull the rim of the shade in and over the ring. This makes it look like the rim is dented even when it isn't. Thankfully, it's one of the clips near the seam to I can turn the seam and dented section to the back and nobody else will know.While this shade is the right size according to many industry standards, the configuration isn't quite right for my lamp which needs a deeper offset. I've got an adapter on order to see if I can make it work that way.All-in-all, I would recommend this to someone looking for a quick and easy lampshade solution. I would also recommend they put it together right away in case it needs to be returned or replaced.
