Usage
- The Load connects easily to coax jumpers and works well in testing my radio equipment.

- The BECEN 100-Watt PL259 Dummy Load is a self-contained air-cooled resistive unit that easily attaches to the male PL259 antenna connector on the back of the Amateur Radio rig.The primary use of a dummy load for me is to briefly tune-up my rig. Representing a purely 50 Ω resistive load, the BECEN dummy load has no reactance so it can be used with HF, VHF, and UHF radios. The only difference between very high (VHF) and ultra-high frequency (UHF) rigs is the antenna connector; these rigs generally use a BNC connector. Adapters that convert the PL259 connector on the BECEN dummy load to a BNC connector.Since the BECEN dummy load is light and compact, it easily fits in my to-go bag when doing portable Ham Radio operations as a public service in one of the national parks.

Its a dummy load... My wife says its just right for a dummy like me. Ham guy.... Does a lot of work with radios... Mine snd others u gotta have one of these. Built solid. Helps zero on my stats... You can't go wrong...

This 100w dummy load is a lot heavier than I thought it would be. Seems really well made. Swr on HF bands is 1:1. Hope it lasts many years.

I had ordered a big name Dummy Load from a quality dealer but it was on back-order. I found this one on Amazon and the reviews seemed rather positive. It came in today, so let the testing start. First, its resistance should measure 50,0 ohms and it measured by my Fluke meter to be 50.2 ohm. That is more that good enough for my ham work. Secondly, its SWR should be, if perfect, 1.0000 My Rig-Expert measure it to be 1.01 More that good enough for me. Looks like a great Dummy Load and good price. Only time will tell how it holds up to use. Dan K4CFZ
