It would be nice if the flaring tool would grip the pipe and hold onto it so that a flare could be made, but it doesn't. It just slips out. I used a long screwdriver to put as much torque on the nuts as humanly possible and it still just slips out.

Needed a flaring tool for a minisplit install. Quick, timeless - I'm sure there are fancy expensive versions, but if all you need is a couple flares for a one-off project - this will do the job no problem.

This is a single flare tool, so you don't want to use on high pressure lines like brakes, but for other stuff it works well.

No instructions on what all the extra gadgets are for did not hold the tubing firm had to resurface the forming tool so it would be flat
