This is a very soft wire that gets scratched easily when manipulating to cage stones, although it says that it will not tarnish. Another thing is that, although, it is copper when compared with other copper wire, this one looks more like gold than copper. 20g is perfect for my needs, but since it is so soft the performance has to be manipulated more to get that sturdiness needed. I have used some, but I rather wait until I get back home and use my supplies that is easier for me to use.

May be my mistake for not reading the description but I bought a few different sizes & from here & different places. *I craft a lot so have a variety of wire from different places. My son was near by playing with some magnets & they picked up my wire. So we checked them all. & all the beadnova isn't real copper. Most the crystals I got are real. Not the copper tho.

I like the wire’s ability to wrap around the jewelry and stones/crystals I’m working with. It is a tad ‘floppy’ for use on anything heavier than a small stone, but I only used the wrap around technique without making knots. Unfortunately I haven’t used this color before so I got to experimenting and boom, the rolls were gone. It turns out you can get hundreds of more feet for only two dollars more - same copper metal, ‘enamel varnish’ as well, and all the same gauges available etc., and even jewelry crafters reviewing it as good for projects! I you just have to look under the hobby or home improvement section for ‘magnet wire’ people use in electrical work, for transistors and school projects and such. I couldn’t believe how much of the exact same thing I could get for six bucks- keep your eyes open! XD the brand I got was labeled as enameled magnet winding wire for transistors, basically. I think the seller said that a 24 gauge wire (which would be for more delicate work) came to about 190+ feet long, but they generally listed it sold by weight listed as well as gauge. Ordering a four once spool of 18ga I gather I can expect to get about fifty feet of wire... so I’ll call this a review for starter wire and small projects, I’d prefer to stock up. I’m sure it will be used!
