This easily cleaned the BBQ grill with no issues. I just got a small bucket of water with a little bit of soap in it and scribed away. It came off in no time. I then emptied the bucket and repeated with clean water, no soap. Then I cleaned the scrubber brush really good with dish soap. It was also very easy to clean. I just poured the soap rough on it and squished it around, then rinsed it several times to get all the soap out. I wanted to make sure the grease all came out.I like it very much. It's much easier to clean than a wire brush. And easier to clean with.

As we should know by now, traditional bristled grill brushes are unsafe, and too many times using them has resulted in metal bristles making their way into the food and causing injuries. There are a few other scrubbers that are bristle-free, and I’ve tried several, but they all have downfalls. This one is no exception. What it does very well is scrub the surface of the grill much better than others, even bristle brushes. It’s also easy to clean, unlike the cloth ones that rely on water. This one gives the grill a more thorough scrubbing, which is great. The downside of this one is that it does not get between the grates very well, so you have to use the metal blade on the end to do that. This is not unusual for scrubbers, though. Only the bristle brushes really did that well, and there really is no substitute for it. That said, of all the alternatives, I’d say this brush is the best I’ve used, so I give it a lot of credit for that.

This grill brush is really well built and has a nice handle, but I did not like having to soak it in water to use. I will admit, that it works well when soaking, but I prefer the old bristly style brush. This would probably work well on a griddle style like a Blackstone.

I've been using silicone brushes on my grill since I heard about a friend who got a metal bristle in her burger. They don't clean great so I've been on the hunt for something better. I ordered this item and got to try it out last night and I am impressed.First things to note: it's not a brush, so it's not going to get deep down into the grill...but that doesn't bother me at all. I wet the pad and while the grill was on and the surface was hot, I gave it a scrub. It took two full passes to get it where I feel comfortable to put away and have it ready for next grilling session. The scraper was great for knocking off anything that had clung to the underside of the grill surface. The handle is very hearty and well made with just enough length to be helpful without being too long.I would highly recommend this grill cleaner for anyone who loves a nice clean grill.

I had been reading stories about people getting wire bristles lodged in their throats or intestines and thought it was time to try a different approach to cleaning our grill. I grill at least once a week through the Winter and at least 2-3 times in the Summer so our grill gets a lot of use. Before this I had only ever had a brush with the bristles and I have never been comfortable with how clean it was getting our grill so I would always leave the grill burning before and after cooking to help burn off anything that the bristle brush left behind. I just used my new BBQ-AID bristle free brush today and I'm amazed at how well it worked. I soaked it in a small bucket of water to let it absorb thoroughly and while the grill was about 300 - 400 degrees I started brushing with it, wow what a difference. It immediately steamed and cleaned the grill remarkably well. It got everything off with ease and my grill has never been cleaner since it was new! I will never go back to a brush with bristles. I wish I would have had one of these years ago but I'm so glad I have one now. I give it 5 stars or more if I could and I highly recommend it for everyone. It's a strong quality brush with a great handle and a hole to hang it up with. It's a great value!

Goodness this bad boy is heavy! All of my other BBQ tools are going to feel inferior. The wood is strong, has a good heft to it and includes a hole for hanging. The surface area is about 4x4, and the thickness of the scraper is 1.5 inches. The scraper is made of strong steel. It looks like it will last for years to come. Here is where it gets interesting. This is not a typical brush. It's not even a brush at all. It's more of a squishy, thick material like a SOS paid turned into a pillow blended with a chain-link coat of armor. You've got to feel it to believe it. And it works! You heat your grill, then you dip this in water, enough to really soak it up. Then start scraping. The water combined with the heat steams your grill plates and removes the yuck. Genius! So, you must be wondering, how long does it last? Instructions say change the pads every season, but I'm sure that's more or less depending upon use. It includes a coupon which gives $10 off the first refill. Looked it up and the refill is 3 pads for $14.99. Not bad at all. There is also a number of other items on the site which look to compliment the brush. After seeing the quality of this brush, I'll be a repeat customer.

This brush is high quality, as the wood handle and stainless steel "spatula" base are high quality. The cleaning sponge also appears to be well made and is attached to the stainless steel base with four screws. I used this to clean grease off my Weber Genesis grill's porcelain-enameled cast iron cooking grates. I followed the instructions, soaking the sponge in warm water first, then using it to clean the still hot grill, though I went over the recommended temperature of 400 degrees that the grill is supposed to be when using this brush. The brush cleans grease just fine and it did create steam when the sponge touched the grates. However, I don't think it works as well as a steel bristle brush for cleaning burnt, caked-on grime off the grates. Tip: apply some pressure to the sponge so that the water releases to create the steam cleaning effect.
