Great hand protection from heat. I got these mailing for handling food and it’s been great. I wouldn’t go too hot like grab a big tray from the oven because it’s not an oven mitt thick. Just for quick hot food like bbqing or handling hot dishes. These gloves are easy to put on and double layer. Very durable and can be reused a lot of times. Disposable gloves you toss after but the cotton gloves are soft and sturdy. I like that the disposable gloves keep them clean just don’t let them get punctured. I can use these gloves all around the house for multiple purposes so I’m glad the functionality is great. Day to grip while on. Great buy and value. Having a box of this set comes in handy and is very useful.

I purchase chickens from Costco/Sam's often and wanted an easy way to deal with hot food prep - this made my life easier and my hands much happier not getting burned. It will come in handy for Thanksgiving turkey and St. Patty's corned beef post-prep.

its important to keep in mind that these bbq gloves are not as thick as oven mitts. you probably should not pull anything out of your oven with these. they are thick enough to reach into a bbq, or adjust a roasting pan etc. and if you're baking something around 300 degrees to 350 degrees, you PROBABLY could pull it out of the oven without fear...but why risk it?as far as the quality, i think they are pretty good and they certainly help. the disposable gloves are as good as any other disposable gloves i guess....really theres nothing fancy going on here.if you're going to be cooking on a bbq this summer, then get this product because you'll have gloves to help you keep from being burned, and you'll have plenty of disposable gloves so you can season the pork or chicken and then throw the glvoes out so you dont cross contaminate.i try very hard to not handle pork, beef or chicken without gloves so i can throw them right out when i'm done.

Pulling a large portion of meat off of a BBQ grill can be a challenge. It can be too much weight for tongs or a fork. Using your hands might get you burned. I have heavy duty rubber looking BBQ gloves but if I get them sticky with sauce, that's more time to clean them. This setup of disposable BBQ gloves gets around all of those issues. In the pack, you get 2 full sets (4 gloves total since you could wear them individually) of liner gloves. These protect you from the heat. You also get a box of 100 disposable gloves. The disposable gloves don't protect much from the heat but keep you from needing to clean up after as they go over the heat protecting gloves and then you just pull them off and dispose when finished.Prior to using these, my primary concern was that I wasn't sure I could get both sets of gloves on and off without help. The fist layer, sure but with the first layer on, could I manage the 2nd? I'm quite happy to say that I had no issues at all. I smoked a 10 pound ham yesterday. I put a glaze on it an hour before finishing so it was rather sticky to pull off and weighed too much to use a fork. Admittedly, on each hand my heat glove protected hand had my pinkie in the wrong finger slot of the nitrile glove for some reason, but that's on me and otherwise, getting the gloves on was no issue at all. Likewise, I made no mess pulling the gloves back off myself either.Personally, I would not have thought nitrile gloves could take that much heat and the ad description does not say how much they can stand. According to the web though, they won't melt until 392 degrees F, though they do soften and start losing protective properties before that. The ones that come in the set could be different than that average of course but even with that, I wouldn't stick my hands in hot coals but if the outside temperature of your food is 400 degrees, it's not going to be edible so it seems pretty safe for the use they are intending.Overall, I'm quite happy with this glove setup. I was surprised how easy they were to get on and off by myself and they reduce both the risk and clean up of getting meat off the BBQ.
