After buying two other expensive battery cases from a leading brand, I ordered a third when the last one failed... It was even more expensive, much heavier and thicker plus required a different cable to charge.I found this item which works better, is lighter, slimmer and less expensive!Great product - Highly Reccommend!!!

So I have used this case/battery pack product for 16 months, and unfortunately today, it died. It will no longer keep a charge or by pass charging capabilities to my iPhone.I purchased this Aug. 2019. My iPhone 6s’ battery was drastically failing and could only produce 70% battery capacity. This led me to buying a new case that contained a battery pack within. I chose this one because it was 6000mah. This meant that my phone could actually last an entire day without have to recharge mid-day.I used this case/battery pack extensively each day for 16 months. I worked it to death (literally). So, I am sad that it has expired but I got my use out of it. I am now going to order another case/battery pack again since it is cheaper than buying a new phone.I highly recommend this case.CON:It is thick and heavy, but this is expected when you add 6000mah to your phone. The outer coating on the phone makes it very slick and is easy to slip out of hand

Bought for iPhone 6. Arrived just in time, charged up as expected, good look and feel, nice box. Instructions not in fabulous english but can be made out. It's a lighter than my previous charger case. A little flex in the top of the case allows you to install the phone. A little scary to put the phone in the case, since the case is all one piece and you put the phone in at a slight angle--I was worried about harming the charging connector. Got it in snugly and all was fine. Volume buttons and ringer on/off work perfectly. Charges GREAT and is super handy to be out and about while using & charging phone. Extends usefulness of phone since my battery needs service (problem predates the case). Like another reviewer I prefer to chsrge the case separately from the phone for the nightly charge.I prefer using Skullcandy wired earbuds but but the rubber around the Skullcandy earbud jack is square instead of rounded like Apple earbuds. The squared off Skullcandy jack won't fit into this case. So, I risked the 9$ cost of my lower-end Skullcandy buds and shaved off the corners of rubber around the earbud jack. Now, it connects! If you prefer the original Apple earbuds or use bluetooth audio exclusively, you'll be fine. Or, if you're willing, like me, to do a little carving, you'll also be fine.

Update:No longer works two months in. Started to act oddly and would not turn on. Then stopped charging to full. Not good.Original review: The first one I had was defective I think. This one I’ve had a couple weeks now, and it’s doing (mostly) what I expected.Pros:1. Good power backup2. Size/weight are good3. Works 95% of the time as expected. (See cons)4. Triples my iPhone battery pretty much. I have, for the first time since my flip phones, been able to get a couple days on one charge.Cons:1. The connection is a little sensitive between the phone and case. I have to press the phone down to the connection in the case every now and then. Not a deal breaker for sure, but bears noting.

First purchase, Spring 2019: I’ve had it for nine months, and until recently I have been very happy with it. The battery has enormous capacity (at least two charges in my experience), and it hasn’t deteriorated at all. The “skin” sits tight around the iphone, and it gives it a nice compact feel. If nothing else were wrong with it, this would still be the favorite among my three external iphone batteries.Although nothing lasts forever, I don’t expect having to contemplate buying a new one in less than a year. But that’s what I’m looking at.First, the charging lights broke a month or two ago—so I never know for certain whether it’s fully charged or not.Second, since about a month the charger cord no longer clicks into place, meaning it falls out at the slightest movement. The only solution to these two problems is leaving the battery to charge for a whole night. However, there is no solution to the third problem (see image), which is that the skin has begun to split on all sides—about a month or two ago. It’s been getting worse, and I don’t know how long I will be able to keep using it. Which is a great shame given that the battery itself is still working great. So here’s another piece of plastic + battery chemicals to throw in the garbage and to end up in the environment. Instead of a nine-month investment I would love to make a nine-year investment at nine times the price. But what’s the use if my next iphone is likely to have a different shape anyhow?Second purchase, January 2020: I ordered another one last week, hoping that the deficiencies in the previous item (reviewed above) were perhaps exceptional. The new one arrived two days ago, and had the same deficiencies, except they were evident coming right out of rhe box: .(1) the charger cord drops out at the slightest motion, and (2) the charging lights never go beyond two (out of four) no matter how long I let it charge. Judging from the packaging I suspect that this item may have been returned by another customer before me, and then resold to the next customer. In fact this item may have been returned by several customers in. successionbefore it reached me. Effectively I have paid full price for a used item. Since many reviewers on amazon have complained about the exact same problems, the pile of return items must be steadily accumulating—thus increasing the likelihood that you would receive an item that already has a record for being unacceptable to other amazon customers. Why did I order it a second time, you may ask? Because the first had a powerful battery, and because I like the feel of the skin. I have now slightly tightened the socket, and I suppose I can live with the two charging lights instead of four. If I can make it last for nine months, chances are that by then I’m looking for a new iPhone anyway. In the meantime I would urge potential customers to avoid this seller, and look for alternatives for this nice-looking but shoddily produced battery case.
