The charger port on the case is loose and will not hold a charger in it. It is almost impossible to charge without physically holding the charger in the hole.

I am wondering how to charge the battery pack. It did not come with a connector. I’ve had my phone charging all night long from the outlet with the battery case on… It charged my phone to 100%, but it did not charge the battery pack more than one illuminated dot on the back of the case. I know with my Mophie, I could charge my phone and the battery case at the same time which was incredibly convenient. I received this on December 30 by the way… so I’ve only had it a few days. I do miss my pop socket.Oh yeah, the whole press and hold the power button for three seconds to power it off - That doesn’t work.Thankfully, this wasn’t that expensive. I have ordered a more expensive case - from Casebus (has much better reviews).

My daughter fell in love with the colour of this case/charger. It looks and feel really good quality and has the same soft velvet feel of the original Apple silicone cases.She was able to slide her phone in and out of the case, quite easily and it aligned with the inbuilt lightning plug.The case has its own on-off switch and also four lights on the back, that indicate the battery level (these also indicate the level of charge, whilst charging the case).My daughter has said that once the phone battery started to drop, she just press the switch on the case (at the back) and the charge symbol activated on the iPhone screen. She was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the battery level of her phone rose.Although the case itself feels slightly heavier than a simple case on its own, it does not feel massively bulky. My daughter found this case especially useful on a recent weekend away. With this case, she did not have to worry about finding charging ports whilst out and about and could take photos/videos etc without fear of running out of battery.Charging the case is simple and straight forward, using a lightning cable. It charges relatively quickly (sorry I did not time it).Overall, we feel that, although the case feels slightly bulkier than your average case, the look, feel and performance of the battery case far outshines that small negative. We feel this battery case is good value for money and we would recommend it.

I purchased this item Sep 2023. After 3 months the cable port was so loose it won’t hold the charging cable in unless perfectly aligned and no pressure (including gravity) was added to the charging cable. Does not recharge in the car at all. I question the validity of 8600mAh. It functioned as desired for 3months.

I’m usually wary of battery cases like this because the bulk can make them unwieldy. Not the case with this case though. It’s nicely ergonomically designed and soft feel so it sits nicely in the hand. Yes, it adds extra weight, but no more than having a MagSafe battery on the back of your phone and this battery isn’t going to slip off like the MagSafe one does. That said because of the battery in this case if you use a wireless charger in your car or at home, then this case might not be for you, because you lose that functionality. For me I have to use wired CarPlay in the car so I just turned off the wireless charging anyway.What I do like about this case is that it’s a pass through port. So one power cable into the phone charges the phone first and then the case. Yes it does make getting a full charge markedly slower (you’re charging twice the battery capacity of course), but what I really liked was spending most of the morning and part into the afternoon with my phone reading 100% charge. I did this by simply pressing the button on the back of the case when everything was fully charged and as the phone depletes its topped up.I normally get a full day out of a charge (morning until late evening) anyway, with the last couple of hours on battery saver. But with this case I’d be quite confident getting two days use out of my phone.Overall I’m really impressed.UPDATE 10th October 2023 - No longer impressedAfter a few weeks of use the case has started causing problems. The pass through charge to the phone and connecting to car play now no longer work. Nor does my phone charge particularly well ticket from the battery, it seems the lighting connectors on this are just not adequate and won’t sustain daily charging routines. Back to the MagSafe battery and MagSafe friendly case. The case while it feels durable just isn’t, and didn’t last so felt duty bound to update my review accordingly.

Got this for a recent Europe trip. I wanted to make sure my phone stayed charged through long travel days. Happy to report that it works! It can take hours to fully charge the case but it then works for about two full charges of my iPhone 14pro max. It’s also an incredibly sturdy case - dropped my phone twice and no damage. Only cons are the weight - it is crazy heavy. And, you can’t plug in earphones. I lost my wireless earphones and needed to use wired ones temporarily. It doesn’t work at all with wired earphones. Otherwise, it’s a great product!
