I would find something like this in the bargain bin of my local Northern Tool & Supply. It's cheap quality, but gets the job done. I cut 4 pieces of pex with it and I can't say it was any different than the one I paid more money for at my local Home Depot. Got this as a backup to my other one, so I don't expect much of it.

Sharp blade. Handle is firm, not wobbly, and it makes a nice, clean cut easily.

I may need it to cut PEX in the future, but for now I got it to cut rubber/pvc tubing. I tried it out on some I had laying around and it worked great. I already have one of these for PVC, which I was extremely impressed with, so picked this one up to use on tubing and PEX. The build quality is decent, and I like that it locks closed for storage. It makes nice clean cuts in tubing, and I am glad to have it in my tool box.

I've been using this to cut PEX B 3/4 and 1/2 inch. works great. only time will tell if these cutters are durable and the blade stays sharp. Good value if the above is confirmed.
