Unique Design
Four large J-hooks are fixed in a deep hole below the ground, with the tips of the hooks sticking out of the ground. The steel plate is positioned downward on the hook, and the basketball stick is bolted downward on the steel plate.

The build seems on par with the much more expensive variants out there, but my biggest complaint is the bolt threads are metric. If you need nuts to fasten your hoop down, it is much harder to find the correct sized nut versus SAE. I finally found the four nuts I needed at an auto parts store, but the big box hardware stores were no help.The hoop has been installed for several months now and is just as secure as it was when we tightened everything down. If for some reason this rusts out or I have a break, I'll update the review, but for now, I'd give it 4/5 stars for not being standard fittings for US market.

The bolts, rebar and mounting plate are all up to the task of holding the basketball hoop/backboard/beam upright through the wind and rain. Didn't seem to have any problem when hanging dead weight from the rim near the backboard, but I wouldn't suggest swinging or throwing one's weight around up there (for a number of reasons).The package includes hardware for one hoop to be attached (at ground level). If you are setting up a full court you will need two kits. It does not include concrete, cement or other adhesive/ground fill material (you will need to supply your own - make sure to get one appropriate for your court's ground surface, and that you have the proper mix ratio)Happy with the quality, and have no concerns about the product in general. I expect it will work well for many years :)

If you are a renter, it's important that you have the ability to take something that you have purchased with you if you move. Or maybe the basketball hoop just needs to be relocated to a better spot. Well, this anchor kit is the answer. The kit was compatible with our hoop. Installation was not difficult; digging the hole was the hardest part. This anchor kit is rugged, heavy-duty, and installs securely.

This unit comes with the four anchor bolts, an anchor plate and the necessary nuts to make a traditional basketball pole secure and ready for play. The integrated turn downs on the anchor bolts provide great grip into the concrete base (you provide the concrete, form and hole). We've done some dunking since and also received a 60+MPH wind storm and this unit held our glass backboard solid and secured without any issues.
