Bought this for our 8th grade basketball teams. Used the pad once and the dirt stuck from the shoes and it won’t rinse off. Shoes must not have any dirt on them whatsoever to keep this sticky pad functional.

It works for the first couple of times. But the grip part is already starting to ripe off the board at the edges. See picture.

So far so good. Used it a couple games now. Completely washes clean in the sink. Very dirty after a game, so it's doing something. Easier to use and carry around than the peel off pads.

The first time we used this it didn't make any difference. In fact, all it did was make any dust on the gym floor adhere to the shoe making it more slippery.

The pictures shown are after a single-use. This product is extremely overpriced for the absolute garbage quality it is. The cleaning instructions are a joke and do not work. This "Traction" pad is now the equivalent of a non-stick frying pan when I try and use it before a game. The chipping of the adhesive was pretty much immediate after the first use.

This is the perfect size for your gym bag. Most gyms floors are dusty and this makes it so much easier to not slip. I have used the bigger board sizes with teams but this one is small enough to carry with you in your bag. Wipes clean with a wet cloth and lasts much longer than the tear off sheets. I was a coach and teacher for 40 years and this is the best have seen for individual use. I just got this because the one I had for three years finally wore out. and I use it at least 5 days a week for up to one hour each time.

The gel works and is sticky enough, but after 2 youth YMCA games the gel has started peeling off at both top corners away from the board. It will probably get worse the more we use it. So while the gel seems to keep it's tackiness, the main issue seems to be keeping the gel attached to the board.UPDATE 8/20/2019: Contacted the seller about the gel peeling off the board and they sent me a replacement board right away. Great customer service!!! Haven't used the new board yet, so we'll see if this one fairs any better. Added one star for the customer service.

Sticky portion of the traction pad is simply a film on the board. Adhesive used to keep it on the board wore off after its first wash. Was unusable after that. Lasted about 1 week.

I have 3 products from this company already. Great service and great product every time. Never had anything wrong with their products. Bought the team traction pad with scuff board and was great. Feels like you get a little competitive advantage when everyone else is slipping and your team isn't. Also bought the replacement sheets because so many people wanted to use it. Finally bought the travel size board with gel pad for when our team travels and also works great and easy to clean. Now that I coach a high School team I will tell the athletic director to by more of these products because they work so great.

I play several times a week with dedicated indoor shoes on well kept indoor courts. If this sounds like you, this product is for you.It performs as promised and I was very impressed with how well it worked and especially how well it cleaned up. Before I first used it, I did the old 'palm on the sole' treatment and got off the top layer of dust - which is usually all you can do on the go. I stepped on the pad and lifted it right off the ground - it REALLY stuck to my shoe! It took off a lot of dust and my shoes were very clean - but not tacky as to attract too much new dust!Clean up was a breeze. Warm water and a pass with a scrubber and the dust washed right off. The pad was dry and ready to go in minutes.You do need to manage your expectations: if you're not getting a solid grip after using, you're shoes are either to dirty or too worn. And it is what it says it is - individual size. The more you use it, the dirtier it gets, the less effective it is. And I think some of the comments about the individual pad not having the Shoe Scuff are unfair. It wasn't advertised to include it and frankly, if you need to scuff your shoes before you clean them, they're too dirty...Overall, it's a great product. (I had guys at the gym asking lots of questions and I could have sold half-a-dozen that first night.) I really hope it lasts as long as advertised but StepNGrip hasn't given me any reason to doubt it!It's got a home in my gym bag!

This is a nice little traction mat that I use for my Saturday league basketball games. It's portable in size and washes very easily under warm water. It's really quite amazing how the stickiness returns after a rinse and scrub. For those of you worried about the stickiness after washing, rest assured, this thing is meant for multiple uses and works very well. It's also quite nice not to have to worry about sticker sheet refills, as they can get quite expensive.I did notice, however, that as my team used the board, the stickiness went away quite fast. Most courts are going to have dust or dirt on them and the board does well picking it up, but only for the first 2-3 uses. After that, the gel part of the mat will be covered with a dirt layer that ends up being fairly unsticky. Think of a piece of Scotch tape that's reused multiple times; eventually, it just doesn't stick as well. That how this gel works. Also, multiple uses will sometimes leave some permanent dirt marks within the gel that won't wash out. Scrubbing will help as you're rinsing it.Still, the gel in this mat is incredible. It functions exactly as I had hoped and while it may not be an item that lasts the full length of the game, it's totally worth having in your corner for its solid initial uses.

The StepNGrip Travel Board was a great purchase! It really does a great job of taking the dirt and dust off the bottom of your shoes. Personally I wash my board after each day of intense use (about 10 people using it when they need) and everything washes off of it really easily. I guess it was supposed to come with a scrub but I just use a rag or something and the dirt comes off real easily. After each wash the board really retains it's stickiness and I'm really happy that I didn't get with a sheet version of the board, especially since this one is supposed to be sticky for 3 years which is pretty impressive. My only regret is not buying one with the shoe scuff on the board but the only board with them seem to be the ones with sheets instead of the gel. I would actually suggest going with this board because it is gel based instead of the sheets which I would imagine need to be replaced a lot and would require buying more. This is a great product and the best value for getting some grip back when you're out on the court so if you're looking for something like that this is the way to go.
