I LOVE this! Im extremely picky and spent way too long deciding between fire place guards. Ultimately, everything was just ugly, didn't fit or was too flimsy. I ordered this because it was unique and fit the vibe of my home. I needed something to keep my giant Maine coon cat out of the fire place, that he wouldn't just knock over. And this did the trick! It's the perfect size (true to size), it seems really large but it doesn't LOOK giant like some other iron guards. I highly recommend if you want something unique, sturdy and grabs lots of compliments.

There was no assembly. It was lovely and I really like it. I have just refaced my firelace and am waiting for a new slab but I think it looks great. Would love a version that was flatter against the fireplace wall vs bowed but I love it anyway.
