Relatively low tension blade. Follow the instructions and tension your blade correctly. This thing cuts amazingly well but is a rougher cut due to the type of blade it is. Also it is exceptionally quiet compared to the 6tpi Olsen I was previously running. Expect to do some serious sanding as it leaves a quarter-sawn-like surface. Highly recommend this blade if it fits your purpose.Follow-up: Rip cuts on 4x4 pine are ok. Cross cuts are amazing and fast. Still recommend.

Has performed well, ripping 2x3x8 into 1x3. Lubricate with cooking spray. Loosen tension between uses.

This was my first blade from Timber Wolf, and I can say it is the first of many. I am impressed. Since I received it I have cut quite a bit of aged oak, including many pieces up to ~3-4 inches thick, and it is still sharp and cuts well. From the sheet that came with the blade it is clear that the folks at Timber Wolf are not just manufacturers, but have lots of experience cutting wood, and understand the use. That matters.Using this on a Delta model 28-206 14" saw with a 6" riser. The saw manual says 105.5" but this 105" fits perfectly.

I've become fond of Timber Wolf band saw blades and when I needed some more and saw the price on these, I stocked up. Although rated for kiln dried hardwood, they seem to be working perfectly on green maple and birch. I use them to cut 4 foot logs to shorter lengths (cross cutting) and then to rip those shorter sections to create bowl blanks for wood turning. I have found them to track well on the machine and cut well on everything I put in front of them. Highly recommend.

I bought this blade on a vague recommendation from a salesperson at a woodworking shop. It has proven easy to install and maintain and gives a good cut. It is the blade of choice for general work. A more advanced blade with skip teeth would get a 5 star rating.
