About this item

  • High silicon, low carbide steel
  • Runs under low tension which requires less horsepower
  • Runs cooler and lasts longer
  • Ideal for resawing thick stock
  • Thin kerf

Timber Wolf makes the world's only thin-kerf, low tension, silicon steel bandsaw blades that will outlast your old carbon steel blades by a mile! Your bandsaw will cut better and faster, with less wear on bearings, shafts and tires. Tooth angles and gullet symmetries, combined with a unique set pattern, create a blade that is everything a wood-cutting blade was meant to be. Blade has over 60% of the speed capabilities of a hook blade while giving you the great finish of a skip. The round design of the gullet eliminates any work hardening zones. Couple that with the special 6.5° rake, 5-tooth set pattern, and .025" thick thin-kerf blade and you have an awesome bandsaw blade!

Installed easily and seems to be high quality. I tried a couple of re-saws and liked the way it turned out.

I am not in the habit of writing reviews but I am so impressed with this bandsaw blade that a review is in order. I have an older Delta 14 inch bandsaw and recently purchased a couple of Timberwolf blades after having poor success while resawing walnut for a small project. After mounting the blade (1/2"), tensioning according to Timberwolf's written instructions, resetting blocks and bearings, and lubricating the blade with Pam (again, Timberwolf instructions), I now have a machine that runs better than it ever has. It is also operating so quietly I am tempted not to wear any hearing protection. To test operation I successfully resawed 1/8" slices off of 3" hard maple. The results are perfecting straight and very smooth.I highly recommend Timberwolf blades and suggest following the tensioning and lubrication instructions included with their blades.

The blade arrived on time and after installation and a short trial cutting, it is a quality blade. Very sharp. Lives up to its reputation.

I seldom write reviews because I expect things to just work. But this blade is the best band saw blade I have ever used in 40 years. It came with a detailed instruction on how to properly adjust the tension on the blade. I did as it stated and this blade cuts like cutting butter. Very quiet, tracks true and extremely sharp. I was cutting walnut and maple, no issues at all. There is no comparison between this blade and any blade I have ever purchased at a box store. I highly recommend it.

First time I tried one of these blades and I love it, cuts like butter very little sanding afterwards, the extra money is well worth it

I have recently been using my 14" bandsaw to resaw hardwood for jewelry box building. This has required tuning the saw and building some fences to support the resawingYears ago I bought several widths of Rigid brand blades when they were marked down on clearance. After getting the saw tuned and some good fences built I managed to cut boards in half but the cut quality was so poor extensive planing was required. The reviews of Timberwolf on the Internet are all over the place but the majority are favorable so with Prime same day delivery I bought this Saturday morning and had it in hand by the late afternoon.I was aware this blade is low tension and I followed the instructions when I installed it.I made a test cut on a piece of ash and I am pleased. The quality of the cut is not perfect but it is very good and it may get better as I become more accustomed to pushing the board through without any stops.I will still run it through the planer but it will only take one light pass to clean it up.The blade runs quiet.Right now I think this is a winner, but I will also admit I ordered a 1/2" Wood Slicer blade from Highland just in case this one did not cut smoothly.I like this one well enough that had I waited until I could try it out I would not have ordered the Wood Slicer blade.
