Giving these a 5 because they work perfectly. Allow reusing jars but now with airtight caps. These easily fit into the silverware tray in the dishwasher for cleaning. Haven't discovered anything negative about these yet.

I hated the regular lids because I didn't do canning. So having this option is the best possible solution. Love them and they work perfectly.

These lids are super convenient. The metal lids rust over time and thought I'd give these a shot. They are a nice charcoal gray color, easy to screw on & off, and 100% spill proof & durable. I washed these in the dishwasher and they are solid. I pack parts of my lunch in a mason jar and These work out perfectly. I ordered the wide mouth lids after trying these out and they are just as good. 5/5 stars!

I love these Ball lids for both my wide and regular canning jars. The grips on these make it easy open. Love the 1 piece lid. No leakage. Easy to clean, goes in dishwasher too. Worth buying. I make overnight oats in my wide moth jars and vinaigrette in my narrow/regular glass jars so the lids get daily use and hold up very well.

I really like these lids! After a few years with the original lids, they were getting rusty and a bit out of shape. I came to Amazon to get replacements and found several options. These (and other) plastic lids caught my attention. This item with the Ball logo was more expensive but they have a higher quality look and I like the dark gray color. They arrived quickly and the quality is as good in hand as in the pictures. I wasn’t interested in a variety of colors so the dark gray is fine. I make spaghetti sauce at home periodically from my Italian grandmother’s recipe (captured by my mom one time - measuring everything my grandmother used to make her sauce - she was a great cook and added ingredients based on continuous tasting) In any case, we produce a large quantity of acidic tomato sauce and store it in mason jars. Over time the sauce has pitted the original 2 piece lids and they have rusted. I replaced them with these. Time will tell, but they don’t leak, and it says you can freeze them. The only concern I have is that they say “not for preserving”. So there is something these don’t do that the original two part lids did. I don’t “preserve” the sauce - so I think these will be ok - but if you rely on your jars for preserving, then these apparently won’t work for that. This is the only reason for dropping one star in my review.

I wanted to buy the mason jar lids because there are times I use mason jars that do not require a canning lid/seal (which are also a pain if you don't need them). I saw these by chance on Amazon and thought, "Ah huh!!" I have used them right away and they are great! These particular ones fit wide mouth jars. They are leakproof and fit wonderfully. I highly recommend these for anyone who wants to use a mason jar to hold items that they are not canning/preserving. Warning, do NOT use these for canning, this is not their purpose.
