I purchased the lids to store my produce in widemouth mason jars in the fridge. The size is right, they are leak proof, but I am not able to screw off the lids. I asked my husband for help. He also was not able to twist it off. He even tried to pour some really hot water on the lid. It takes long time and much effort to open the jars.

When you unbox them the seals are in one bag and lids are in box put the seal in the lid and press down to make sure the seal fits in the grove in the inside of lid and mine have stayed secure no issues works great. There is a tool in the box in a thank you package to help put the seals in the grove of the lid i used abutter knife to do mine I found the tool when all done assembling them i thought it was a thank you note but a metal tool was in it.

The lids work pretty good, just lightly tighten, with the rubber seal it will tighten good. I like these better than the metal ones because they don't rust.

Bought these since I haven't been able to find the wide mouth plastic lids from BALL. These lids work fine and have a silicone insert, to provide additional security and freshness.

I use wide-mouthed glass Mason jars instead of Tupperware, to store food in frig. I don't like to deal with the two piece lids, and these plastic lids are perfect. Right size, I use all the same color, don't have to worry about rusting, easy to screw on and take off. Very happy with this purchase.
