Pleasantly surprised that these fit great on my thick thighs and pear shape. Have been struggling to find something for hiking and summer. Love the drawstring waist (though elastic and snaps would have been nice too). The fabric is quite thin but means they are lightweight and dry quickly, which is what I wanted. Not sure how well they will hold up. Wish they made these in more colors and a heavier fabric version with snap closure and zip fly.

I love these shorts! I wear these while walking the beach or riding my bike. These shorts do not ride up my leg while walking. They are comfortable and a great fit true to size. I wash and hang dry these after each use and they still look great!

I have these shorts in the 7" and the 5". Love them both. I'm 5'9" and the 7" is a nice longer length. The 5" are a great length, too and still cover well. These are a great Lulu dup. Good quality and nice pockets. I have 3 pairs and will continue to add colors to my collection!

I absolutely love these shorts, I also bought these same bayleaf shorts but ones with a liner and these are the exact same except for these having a drawstring waste and no liner. The 5 inch inseam is perfect for me they do not ride up, no thigh rub. I bought these to run in, and recently ran 110 miles in 32 hours and I wore these the entire time! Love them! They dry fast don’t stay sweaty, soft, light and great deep pockets. I’m 5’3 135 pounds about a 28 in waist and usually I wear a medium, I got thighs and a booty but the smalls were great and not tight, I think however that I got a defective pair added pictures and reached out to seller. I’ve only had since July and found a defect after I saw threads ripping out on one side. Updating my review to all the Stars! I contacted bayleaf through email and told them what happened within a day they shipped me a new Pair that are clearly not defective! They have the best customer service and I will definitely continue to buy from them.

I love these shorts. They are so comfortable and are a great style. The fabric is light and stretchy but not too thin so that they are durable. It has side pockets that are roomy and a pocket on the back with a zipper. They are long enough to be a bit modest but not too long like granny shorts. I would definitely buy again.

These fit great and are the perfect length if you don’t want shorts that are too short. They are durable, comfortable, adjustable, and look super cute with a tank top or over a bodysuit! I brought them with me to Disney World and they were so comfy and kept me very cool and stylish. It’s no wonder they are featured in a lot of publications as one of the better shorts available.

Runs large. The 7" is quite long. Had to return my 7" Size large and get a 5" size medium. Very comfortable and smooth. Basically my favorite pair of athletic shorts. Slightly fitted, so not too tight like bike shorts, but not overly loose that it blows and rides. Stays put, which is nice. Washes well. Pockets are always great. For this pair, the drawstring fell out super fast. At least the shorts fit me well without the drawstring. Gonna try the elastic waistband one at some point. Wish it wasn't so expensive though or wish it was on sale more. If it was on sale more or less expensive, I'd probably buy multiple pairs in every color.

These are certainly lightweight shorts. The fabric makes a little rustling noise as I walk, but that doesn't bother me. I expected that, based on other reviews. I am 5'5", 148 lbs, and based on their sizing chart, I got the XL. It is a little baggy on me, around the hips and butt. Thank goodness for the drawstring, otherwise that would be too big, too. I just cinch the drawstring and it's nice and snug. There is a small bit of elastic at the waist, but it's basically useless if you're using the drawstring to make it fit. The elastic then becomes irrelevant. I like the finish on these shorts. The quality seems to be there. They are not thin or transparent and look like they are made to last, so five stars for quality. One star off the top for bagginess. And one more star off for that pain-in-the-butt drawstring--I didn't know any better and left the drawstring loose and untied the first time I washed the shorts. When I pulled them out of the washer, the drawstring had come completely out of the shorts and was loose among the other clothes! I have inserted many drawstrings back into garments over the years, but this drawstring was positively maddening! The way the waistband is sewn prevented an easy insertion back into the space where the drawstring went before. It took me hours to get it back in there, using first a safety pin, then a dowel rod. From now on, I will be knotting the string together when I wash the shorts to prevent it from worming its way out of there again.
