I have used this jacket on a sunny day with cold northerly 18 mph winds and temp = 46 degrees as well as in the dark with no wind and temp = 47 degrees. In both cases, this jacket was perfect. It kept me warm, shielded the wind, but at the same time kept my arms from overheating due to the vents underneath.I am 6'1 180 lbs with 17 / 35 shirt size and the large size fit perfectly both in terms of fit around the torso and the length of the arms. The front pocket fit my iPhone 13 perfectly and the side pockets were very useful for storing my gloves. I highly recommend this jacket

This jacket has everything. The right color to be seen (and choice of other colors too, even the ones that don't make it easy to be seen!)Amazing number of pockets, both inside (2) and out (4).Very breathable (no sweat accumulation so that makes it warmer inside also).Accurate sizing (a problem with too many Asian manufacturers).Great windproofing (keeps me warm which is, after all, its primary purpose).Perfect warmth for 32ish plus/minus (not too hot and just right after cycling a bit of the way).Great neck protection from wind and cold (though I add a neck gaiter when it's very cold).Easy to clean by just popping it into the washing machine, hanging to dry.Made for cyclists by adding the longer "tail" for protecting you when bent over "racer" style.I've gone through many cycling jackets since 1978 and, with the exception of one Castelli which is quite different than this style but is perfect for temperatures over 50, this jacket has it all for me. It had to have been the result of listening to the customer because how elso could they have made such a perfect design, unless they designed it for their own cycling use?

I bought this jacket for winter bicycle commuting. My commute is approx 30 mins one way. I like wearing this jacket while riding. My chest size is 48", so I ordered the XXL, as I wanted to wear layers underneath. I like the fit, and style of the jacket. The only complaint I have is that it's not as breathable as more expensive jackets. With 3 long sleeve layers underneath, the jacket has kept me warm on 20 degree mornings. Anything over 50 degrees, and the jacket gets hot. I have found the jacket is nice when it's windy. I would recommend this jacket, even though the breathability is not as good as other jackets.

- stylish- bright (bought orange)- can wear in cooler temperatures but in cold conditions (windchill-15 Celsius with winds 17 km/hr) you need to layer up- black panels at sides was thinner than expected (it’s mesh-like)- unsure if it was just my husband but needed a size larger to feel comfortable in it and to add a layer when needed

I normally wait a bit, but today was a good test.Weather (Twin Cities, MN): 48 F, misting, wet roads, no windPack: Buffalo insulated cooler backpack, white w/black trimBike: Specialized AWOLLights: fore & aft for inclement weatherUpper clothing: Land’s End silk turtleneck under this jacketLower clothing: Baleaf mountain biking shorts under VERY old wind pants with leg cuff straps.Event: Grocery run to Target doing curbside pickup, about 4 miles round trip plus standing time. So…first the jacket fits perfectly. I’m 48” chest, 47” hips, 42-44” waist depending on status of lunch. 2XL met those measurements per the chart and room for a modest sweatshirt underneath. And a zipper garage! Honestly, lead with that I’ll buy anything. I hate beard snags.During the ride I was quite toasty, I’m a sweater regardless of breathability of fabric, and I could feel the areas without the fleece letting wind whoosh. The back was covered by the heavy insulated pack, but easy to zip up or down the front to accommodate breezes from forward movement.Dry inside from rain, it’s misty, but rained more thoroughly earlier. I have an actual rain jacket for downpours since I’d always rather play outside. The arms are a tad long, I’m 5’8” T-Rex build, but the wrists are nicely held by a soft, elastic like gauntlet. More like a thin Neoprene feel than gathered wristlet. The chest pocket easily holds an iPhone SE, larger would struggle. Also kept my phone dry from mist and my sweat, so bonus points.I already love the jacket, no loose strings or unraveling spots, and it’ll make a great layer under wool for colder winter commuting.Update 11-20-2024:Nearly daily use commuting to and fro, often work, but some smaller grocery runs.Monsoon (MN version): 47 degrees F, rotten headwind: I stayed dry inside a saturated jacket. It gets wet, but I don’t, and neither did my phone in the outside chest pocket. Dries quickly just hanging up.Snowing, 27-28 F, proof Mother Nature hates me as my pounding headwind streak continues, 14 years running: 6 mile ride in blowing snow that would accumulate if the ground temp was lower. Rosy cheeks, frosty toes (wool socks but no overshoe), Nike therma pants, Lands End silk crew, a rag polyester tshirt, Pearl Izumi lobster gloves, and this jacket. Walked outside, felt cool, perfect for exercise. Solid headwind kept my speed very poky (lapped by a tortoise), still quite comfy in jacket. At the end of chores and fun my back was very warm, again that’s the pack I wear, without that pack I might have considered a wool tshirt instead of the closest one. Love this jacket. Even with hand pockets open it’s not too much air moving through.

Fits great - I'm 6'2" and 175 lbs. Baleaf makes high quality gear, and this is exceptionally well made - to tops of arms and most of the jacket have a windproof layer, and there is a mesh 'underbelly" along the pits and sides for cooling. I thought this would make the jacket cold in 40 degree- but I warmed up quickly with one underlay while running. Biking was a bit colder, but I really like the breathability when under a Gortex wind breaker. Above 50 I wore it alone with a nylon long sleeve shirt and was fully warm. Great pocket is ample for a phone, the rear pockets are open and hold a water bottle nicely - side pockets are functional but small - not really useful to warm hands if needed.

All my summer bicycle wear is Baleaf and for good reason........top quality gear at a reasonable price. I needed a cold weather riding jacket. Ordered it and was delivered promptly. Wore it today. Was a typical breezy overcast chilly Iowa fall day. I had a tshirt on as my base layer and that's all I needed. The coat kept the wind and the chill out perfectly. Was nice and warm.I'm 6' 175 and ordered a large. The jacket is not tight fitting. It has enough room to add base layer clothing and to adjust arms during a ride. It's comfortable but still aerodynamic to not be a drag with wind. The orange color I purchased is very visable with reflective striping. I would highly recommend this jacket.
