If you've ever had to use a dull, rusted, or kinked bow saw blade, you'll appreciate a blade like this one. It fit perfectly in the saw I bought at Scout camp over 50 years ago. It tears through old, dry branches when you're gathering wood for a campfire and pays for itself in one outing. I'll probably buy another as a spare.

Excellent blades so far. Cutting logs up to 9" thick is enjoyable again (at 75). I now have 2 new Bahco blades. A raker toothed one is in a new Bahco bowsaw frame and I like the smooth tensioner. A peg toothed one is in my old frame and replaces a cheaper hard point blade which, after about 1000 cuts of 5-6" dried Lawson Cypress logs wouldn't cut deeper than an inch no matter how tight the wing nut and the blade couldn't be reset. I always despised our throwaway culture but I'm hopeful these blades will outlive me and I won't need to confess in a negative review. I now know why my grandfather asked me to cut his logs. I was ignorant about sharpening or setting them and struggled for years with all his old saws until I bought a new hard point one and suddenly realised the fault hadn't been mine. It's too early for a proper review but I'm recommending to friends that these aren't expensive and cut so easily that no-one has to worry about building big muscles and no, I'm not trying to con a wife or young ones into cutting the logs!

Seems like I’m always saying “quality” for wats important..🤦‍♀️ But it is..there is so much, so much out there to choose from & names I don’t even kno or can even pronounce..one of those may even be th best..who knows? I certainly don’t..I do kno this is a good, quality blade, as is th saw..purchased this as a switch-out on th Bahco bow saw, so I’d have a blade for green wood, which it came w, & for dry wood, which I use wen out in th field..& at home also..a very good bow saw & very good blades..now I feel “complete”, in this area of my life anyway..all organized & prepared..now I can move on to another area of my life that needs a resolve..lolWish/hope for it to be this easy..🤗

I bought the Bahco saw and thought it prudent to buy a replacement blade soon after. Great quality just like the saw. Happy buyer here!

This is definitely for dry wood only. A previous reviewer said it would probably work in wet wood but he / she hadn't tried it. It does not have the staggered teeth to cut wet wood like the Raker blades. It DOES, however cut dry wood just fine. Remember, it is not a fine carpentry tool; it doesn't keep the cut straight like a good crosscut saw. But that's not its job.
