This is my favorite bow saw blade. I tried the other blade for green wood and I still prefer this dry wood blade. The teeth on the green blade are larger and further apart. The teeth on the dry wood blade are finer and closer together. It takes more back and forth strokes with the dry blade but the effort is far less than the green wood blade. The dry wood blade is the one to get and my choice if I had to choose only one blade for my Bahco bow saw. The blade also lasts quite a long time. I only replaced mine after many uses of sawing through some super-dense wood of a tree stump.

Great bit of kit. I use it for sawing dried logs for firewood and it works a treat using very little effort, especially if I remember to let the saw do the work and not press too hard.I was using a Silky saw but that was getting blunt on the dry wood and a replacement blade costs ten times as much as this one with no discernible difference in dry log cutting ability ( the Silky is unbeatable for cutting branches on trees)

Lame de scie coupe bien et remplace mon ancienne lame. Je n'arrivais pas à en trouver de rechange pour cette dimension.

After folding my tent on again sharpening my trusty 70's era American made bow saw blade, with trepidation, I purchased a Chinese import from the local hardware store. It quickly went into the recycle bin, and is hopefully being returned to that nation to be remanufactured into a vital component of a Chinese defense industry product.I turned to Bahco, aware that Scandinavians know a thing or two about forestry - we used lots of their tools when I was in that occupation.Brand-new, the blade took me half as much time as I was accustomed to on a log that dimensionally was a challenge; which is probably a measure of how long I'd clung to my American blade.I'm rating it a 4 because it did jam tight on a log that had a pocket of moist rot in it. It took a wedge and another saw to free it. It claims to be good for dry wood, so, yeah, I'm holding it perhaps unfairly to a higher standard.

if u got some wood and have some just ok saw or a rusty piece of junk like i had toss it and get one of these blades. extremely sharp and just flys through maple like butter . unlike the green wood raker type blades these teeth are all the same size like on a wood shop mitre saw or cross cut. it will last a bit just dont forget to bring it back inside with you these guys rust fast. i would definetly go with bahco brand i thinky at one point they were made in sweden but like every one else they went to save money now there made in portugal. still a good product for 10 bucks

Top quality blade. Yes, it is more expensive, probably 3 times the price of my last saw blade. But in a few minutes, it cut through a large log that washed up on the beach. This company sells blades for green wood (when cutting down live branches) and for dry wood (dead logs). The blade easily fit in our bow saw of a different brand but same size. I will not go back to our other brand of blades. It took less time to saw that log into 3 pieces than to get out a chain saw and use it. This is so good for small jobs around the yard and campsite.

I bought the BAHCO 30 inch Bow Saw about 12 months ago and have been extremely impressed with how easily the saw and blade combination allowed me to cut through dozens of large Brazilian Pepper Tree trunks. Working in a wetland in Southwest Florida means having to concentrate in tight quarters, messy and uncertain footing, and the sudden appearance of some nasty critters. Quick unplanned moves while using a chainsaw in a challenging environment can prove disastrous.Using a hand saw has proven to be almost as effective as a chainsaw with only about 10% of the worry of something going wrong. Yes, I do occasionally cut myself with machetes and handsaws, but any accident with a chainsaw usually results in a severe injury in only seconds.Since the green wood saw blade worked out so well, I also bought the dry wood blade. Now I am able to cut up old trees previously felled by hurricanes, disease or fire. The green wood saw blade is great at what it does, but this second blade for dry wood makes all the difference in the world. Another good buy.

These BAHCO blades are excellent saw blades! The corrosion treatment is very important to minimize blade resistance as you cut through the wood. I use the peg-toothed blades on both green and dry wood (although the raker blades may work better on green wood). There is always a possibility that a new blade will not fit an existing saw, even if the blade length is approximately correct. For your convenience, an exact blade diagram is printed on the side of the cardboard in which each BAHCO blade is very tightly wrapped. So, before stripping the cardboard from the new blade, unload the old blade from your saw and compare it to the diagram for the new blade to make sure the new blade will fit your saw. If not, you can then return the blade to Amazon.
