Purchased as a gift. Appears to be high quality. Certainly wasn't cheap to purchase. It is not retracting. Which is a bit embarrassing when you give it as a gift.

Bought this badge after getting tired of the cheap ones falling apart after a couple of months of use. Well, this one fell apart just as quickly, and I paid a lot more for it! It was hanging on my jacket pocket, not even being pulled to extend the badge, and it burst apart. It's made of metal and felt heavy and sturdy when I purchased it, but it broke just as quickly as the cheap plastic junk. Not impressed.

Please don't post this as a review---unable to figure out how to contact the seller. I wore this badge clip exactly one day & this morning when I tried to put it on, it just totally fell apart. See the picture. I purchased thru Amazon.
