unboxed, read the instructions just to be on the safe side. Plugged it in for a few second to make sure it worked before I went ahead with any plumbing work. It didn't work. I know these units are quite so put the pump to my ear and plugged it back a few times for a few seconds. You can hear the faint humming sound as the motor was trying to run. Checked the impellor and it was extremely hard to move. So hard as the motor couldn't turn it. No way it was tested before it was boxed at the factory. I returned it for a refund. Didn't want to waist any time to see if a replacement would be any better.

Used this pump on an outdoor wood boiler. Plenty of flow for 120k btu heating coil. Wil keep a spare on hand.

"This pump works perfect for circulating hot water to my showerAt speed one, the pump operates quiet and it has enough water pressure to take a shower. I tried increasing the speed to three and it is still quiet. You can hear a bit of noise but it’s not loud at all. Prefect for bathroom use.The only trouble I had was “setting up” of the pump. The inlet/outlet ¾” thread seem to fit better on copper fittings than the other standard fittings.Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the product and I highly recommend it for bathroom use. Also, it’s comparatively cheaper than other similar pumps. Two months update:The pump makes noises while operation, even in low speeds! I got worried and asked Baco for help. It turns out that air in the pump might cause noise. With Baco’s suggestion, I located the big screw at the back of the pump, turned it counter-clockwise to expel air out of the pipeline. The pump is back to silent operation again."

It has three-speed control . After spending about 10 minutes for installing, it pumps a lot of water, quietly. I had thought it would make some noise but it didn't. One warning on the installation is in orderthough. PURGE all of the trapped air in your water lines. When you think all the air in the lines is gone . . . it probably isn't. Check the pump periodically for a few hours to make sure. Trapped air will burn your new pump out so don't take a chance. I've also run an electrical line to the house and added a switched timer to stop the pump after a preset time. If you just let the pump operate 24/7 continuously you'll find your gas bill taking a huge hit on therms used. I found out that the hard way years ago with the old pump and added a switch in the garage near the pump. With the new switched timer at the house I no longer need to trek back and forth to the garage. Life is good in paradise.

I installed this to pump on the hot water line coming right out of my water heater. I use it to pump hot water throughout my house, so I can avoid wasting the time and water it takes to get hot water at distant faucets. I plugged the pump into a smart outlet connected to my SmartThings hub. I turn the smart outlet on and off either with a voice command to my Amazon Echo Dot or by pressing the on/off button on another smart outlet in my bathroom, also connected to my SmartThings hub. I created a routine in my hub that calls for the pump smart outlet to turn on and off whenever the bathroom smart outlet is turned on or off. The LED on my bathroom outlet lets me know whether the pump is on or off. So, I am able to run the pump only when I need it. It runs perfect and is very quite. I highly recommend this pump. Great performance, high quality at a low price.

I wanted a low cost pump for insuring hot water at my kitchen sink. This pump so far does the job very well. I probably wish I had purchased the stainless steel pump from the same manufacturer for not too much more money. This one is cast iron which will add iron to your system over time. The 3/4" threads on the piping connections are not tapered so that presents a modest problem in the install. You can load up the threads with Teflon tape and hopefully get it to seal up. I elected to use the hot water flex connectors with rubber washer in the non-tapered nut that they use. Going this way is nice because if you need to remove the pump for servicing you just back these nuts off and remove the pump without having to undue any of the rest of your plumbing. Actually this ability is built into most of the more expensive pumps. It is funny that the manufacturer included a couple of thin rubber washers but no methodology or explanation of use. I cut the ends off a hot water flex tube and soldered 1/2 inch copper pipe into the ends of the copper flex end to make this work. I included a picture so you can see how this looks installed. The manual is written in garbalish (Chinese English) and does not help a lot. It also has instructions for features that that pump does not appear to have. If it had included connecting nuts and a better manual it would have been 5 stars. It is a good value.

I installed the pump when I added a re-circulator loop to my hot water system. The pump is very quiet and works as designed. the manual is minimal but adequate. The pump has no mounting points as it is designed to be supported by rigid plumbing connected to its input and output. This is apparently standard for recirculators, but it makes it "interesting" when using PEX or other flexible pipes. Even at its lowest setting, the pump is too powerful for my application (a 90' loop, 45' 3/4" outbound, 45' 1/2" inbound). There is effectively no temperature drop at all, which means I could use a weaker pump and use less electricity with no difference in temperature if such a pump were available. I have asked if I can use a 1 minute on, 4 minutes off duty cycle without shortening the life of the pump: we will see what the seller says.
